Camping Bankenhof

Stayed at Camping Bankenhof for 3 nights for a short break in the Black Forest. Camp site is great, clean toilets and hot showers and there are also laundry and sauna facilities. You get to choose your own pitch which is nice and there is...a bar/restaurant. We didn't eat there but the drinks were reasonably priced. We were surprised to be told when we enquired about booking to just turn up despite it being August, but there was plenty of room. Quite annoyingly the entry road from Titisee was closed so we had to go the long way around to drive in but it's not major, the work is due to be completed by November. The worst thing about the camp site is the other campers, some were quite loud very early in the morning (2am) which isn't great on a family site but I'm a very light sleeper so it's my own fault for forgetting my ear plugs! You can hear the traffic from the road once rush hour starts and was also woken once at 7am by the road workers with a pneumatic drill bigger than a small adult (I went to look), but this was a one off. It's a pleasant 1.2km stroll into Titisee or you can hop on the bus with your free Konus card. We walked through the Sandbach site a few times and their tent pitches appeared to be tiny patches of grass in a gravel field so I'm confident we made the right choice. I was a little surprised when we arrived and was told us to pay when we left, but there were no issues and they also take card payments too. I'd definitely stay at Bankenhof again if I'm in the area.

Ho sempre e solo fatto vacanze in campeggio. Questo sino ad oggi è il migliore che abbia mai visitato.Personale cordiale, disponibile e attento. Campeggio pulito, tenuto in maniera perfetta, silenzioso e tranquillo.Le piazzole sono ampie e spaziose e ben delimitate. C’è un solo complesso bagni, ma è perfettamente pulito a qualsiasi ora del giorno. A disposizione sia nelle docce che nella zona lavaggio stoviglie/panni acqua calda gratuita, ogni wc è dotato di carta igienica e spray igienizzante. Il campeggio è in una posizione strategica. Non da direttamente sul lago di Tititsee ma in pochi minuti a piedi lo si può raggiungere; così come volendo in una ventina di minuti a piedi si raggiunge anche il paesino Titisee. Sempre dal campeggio ci sono poi parecchi sentieri e che permettono di addentrarsi nella Foresta senza spostare la macchina).Unico piccolo neo, il wi-fi a pagamento.

Camping Bankhof is in a great location to explore the local environment. There are many cycling and hiking trails and the lake can be reached by a short walk through another campsite. We did not need to book, just turn up and select your parking space (there was a lot... to decide it was the beginning of the summer holidays). There are supermarkets within a ten-minute drive, although there is a small store on site for basic products. We ate once in the restaurant on site, portion sizes are good and drinks from the bar a cheap. The staff at the reception are very friendly and welcoming and the facilities are modern and very clean lots of hot water and the washing machines/dryers are inexpensive compared to other locations we stayed. There is a freezer for ice packs that we found very practical! Would stay here again.

we were six days in august at the campsite bankenhof. the floor is beautiful and well maintained, the staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the cleanliness in the sanitary building was not continuous. this is unfortunately due to campers, but I would like to have a more regular cleaning in corona times. unfortunately in the damen shower also large-area mold attack on the walls below the deck.

It was a nice place to stay. Nice surroundings and views. Eventhoght it hasn't access to the lake, you are allow to go through a camping nearby.
