Caribbean Flavah

I have enjoyed the meals I have previously ordered from Flavah. I have used DoorDash to make previous orders.I noticed today that the price for the identical meal I have previously ordered has increased in price by 43%. I also noticed that the DoorDash fees are pretty flat. That means the price increase is all attributable to the restaurant increasing its prices.I totally support price increases as produce etc has increased in price. However hiking up prices by 43% is unacceptable to me. I called the restaurant and a gentleman who I believe to be the owner answered. After making an inquiry about my observation I found his response to be abrupt and dismissive.I have been a customer for some time now. However I will not be ordering from Flavah again. I think I am at my wits end when it comes to price hikes which make no sense.

We asked for the lunch specials. One with Jerk chicken and one with Curry Chicken. Both meals came in small containers with rice and peas on one and just white rice on the other and only a couple of small pieces of chicken in each, which kind of voids the Special . So I got another 1/2 Jerk Chicken to make sure that we had enough good stuff. And damn, it is good stuff. The sides were simple and played their part well but the chicken was outstanding. The Curry Chicken was very typical really good Jamaican flavah, but it was extremely tender and fall off the bone. The Jerk was smoky, slightly spicy and very moist. Definitely the best that I 've tried in my limited experience with Caribbean cuisine. Next time, I 'm just going to order a whole Jerk Chicken ... and maybe a small rice and peas.

Amazing Customer Service, this guy will give you gravy extra if requested. Amazing Curry Chicken roti and the J Pork is killer with oxtail gravy. Nice seating inside, very clean. I eat at alot if caribean joints and this by far is the best in the hammer.

Great small shop to drop in if you're looking for some j chicken. Medium box will give you more than enough for a meal. J chicken has good flavour make sure to add gravy to your rice and peas. Coleslaw is not too creamy.

Great customer service. Was there late last night while the one person in there at multiple orders going. Able to manage time and I was out in 5 minutes. Goat roti very good, and extra spicy if you request hot sauce.
