De Costi is a fishmonger which also supplies grocery chains like Woolworths so they are a reasonable size. This one is in the basement (ground level) of the Dee Why Grand so very convenient to people who live nearby. I tried their bottom-line Fish ..Chips which includes fresh salad for and found it was a satisfying main meal for dinner. They offer a number of other options eg Barramundi or Calamari so altogether there were at least alternative menus. But I will go back for more of this one.
The fish and chips and drink deal is always a safe bet at this restaurant. The fish is consistently fresh and tasty, while the chips are usually good, although they can occasionally be inconsistent in quality. It seems like they may need to change their oil more frequently, as sometimes the chips taste like they were cooked in dirty oil. We have been dining here for years and the kids always enjoy the grilled and battered fish.

Excellent find, this Costi’s always has friendly staff, clean premises and food that looks so fresh. We love a quick takeaway from here and the prices are very reasonable. We are now regulars!
I have often bought fish from Costi and it has always been fresh. They also serve take away fish and chips for a good price and always a queue at lunch times.

The fish and chips at this restaurant are simply divine. The meals are prepared quickly and served warm. They are absolutely delicious!
