I ordered 8 beef empanadas and 2 rice puddings for takeout from this restaurant. The only downside was that I couldn't speak to a live person when placing my order, as they only provided a link for smartphones. I had to pull over to place my order, so if you're calling from a flip phone or landline, you won't be able to place an order. I inquired about this and was told it was set up due to Covid and wouldn't be changing. I personally think this is a silly policy, but it's not my business to change. Overall, the service was for takeout.

I ordered takeout through the website and was pleasantly surprised by the large portions and good value. The empanadas were delicious and I particularly enjoyed the beef burrito, which was only $5! The portion size was so generous that I was only able to eat half, making it enough for two meals. I'm happy to have found a restaurant with tasty food at very reasonable prices. I will definitely be returning for more Picadillo and empanadas. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5.

The food at this restaurant is exceptional! Everything from their salads to their shredded beef is amazing. The yellow rice is especially delicious and tastes just as good the next day. And don't even get me started on their banana pudding - it's absolutely to die for. I have been a loyal customer for years and have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered.

I have been a fan of this restaurant for years. I recently had the chance to meet Eddie, the owner, and he was very friendly and down-to-earth. My favorite dishes include the Cuban sandwich, CMC burrito, and aropa vieja (I may have spelled it wrong). I eat out often and this restaurant is definitely in my top 10 most visited spots. I am perplexed by the lack of response when calling your restaurant. This is not the first time we have tried to check on an order and no one picks up the phone, with the voicemail always full. We have ordered from Dumont numerous times without any issue. However, the lack of communication has reached a point where it is not worth placing a catering order.

The white rice had burnt bits from the bottom of the pot. The empanadas were soggy. Transporting the fried items in wax pastry bags helped prevent them from becoming too moist from the steam when hot. Some of the plantains were undercooked. I would give this order a B- rating.

I did not enjoy my experience at this restaurant because they require customers to place their orders over the phone before dining in. This caused delays and frustration, leading me to give them a one-star rating.
