WOW is one of the words that I will use to describe the food here. It's all gluten free. No chance of cross contamination!! And it's DELICIOUS. I've never had fried chicken with turnip greens, topped with pimento cheese and bacon bits. It's a lot of food and I took it home reheated it the next morning. Mix the turnip greens, pimento cheese and bacon together CHEF'S KISS!! My husband had the tamales and it was so good. We love the food here and the service was fantastic.
The service was great, the food was AMAZING! The tamales are world class! I’m vegan and they made several of the tamale options with black bean filling. There’s also an amazing butter bean hummus that was SO good. The server asked us up front if we had any dietary restrictions or allergies which is awesome because my son has food allergies and it’s always awkward when the waitstaff doesn’t have any idea what you’re talking about. This place is a HIDDEN GEM!
After traveling all day on our way to the beach, we decided to try something local for dinner. This restaurant didn’t disappoint. The tamales were amazing! You can definitely tell they are made with love. The catfish was awesome too! If you like to support local businesses- then go! It’s worth the trip.
Very impressed with the menu here. Unique food for this area. They have delicious tamales that you can get smothered in all kinds of goodness. Tacos are excellent especially the catfish tacos! Best greens I have ever eaten. Live Music! This will be a regular place for me. Reserva una mesa ahora
We this place!! The Tamales are amazing and the Southern Chicken Melt is unbelievable!! Be sure to order it “fat boy” style!! We also just learned that it’s entirely a GLUTEN-FREE restaurant!! So thankful we stumbled in about a year ago and found a new favorite spot!
After living in Alabaster for many years my family and I finally ventured into this wonderful place. The service was outstanding and atmosphere was great. Drinks were good and the food was incredible. We will most definitely be coming back.
First time here.Quick friendly service with honest recommendations. The tamales are amazing!!! And the red beans and rice as a side......delicious. Great **** Mary, too. Definitely will be back.

"DON?T EAT AT THIS LOCATION! THEY NEED TO BE TURNED INTO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT!!! After spending 30 mins in line, this is what we got. One of those pieces of chicken look like it was cooked the previous day. Food made us sick just from a small bite. Just close down!"
