I visited this restaurant in 2021 and 2022, and had been there before COVID as well. Under new management, there is now a man named Craig who seems to be untrained and does not have a license (Kelly, the licensee, does). Craig seems to have grandiose delusions, believing himself to represent Craft Union. He is aggressive, loud, and constantly intervenes in conversations, making the pub unwelcoming to newcomers. Despite Kelly's efforts to maintain the old standards, the pub is now run by a bald, bearded, aggressive man who intimidates patrons. While in the Cleveleys area and late morning I saw The Dickens Inn open and decided to nip in for a break. The landlady or manageress was very helpful at the entrance which had a clear social distancing routine as I entered. She gave me the relevant details on what to do and took my order. As no food was being served at the time I had several bags of crisps with my drink, settled down to take my time to enjoy my break before continuing with more tasks afterwards. Overall, the place was clean, pleasant with a relaxing atmosphere given the difficult times with social distancing, and everyone around seemed pleasant and friendly. A nice place to call in for a drink.
nothing happens in here unless you like to watch football or want your ears bashing with annoying karaoke. Could be a good pub as it is tidy and clean but needs live entertainment on such as bands or comedians to keep people in and returning.
Covid rules were maintained with a clear and obvious entry and exit, my mum is 84yrs, she found her way about. Unfortunately only pizza was available on our visit. We could not have been more welcomed by the staff.

The Norbreck Hotel staff recommended this pub for watching football. As a solo female, I felt welcomed and safe. The staff showed great hospitality. I would definitely return to this pub when in the area.
As a older person who struggles with her eyesight, I was shouted at for going in the wrong door No need for rudeness, an explanation would have been enough Don't use this pub it's not friendly
The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance, with welcoming bar staff and is pet-friendly. They play good music, and the prices are reasonable. It is definitely worth a visit.
Appalling service, rude staff and certainly will not be returning to this establishment for sure. Such a shame was looking forward to visiting.

good beer, good prices, live football and entertainment on Saturdays. outdoor seating available and burger bar that regularly turns up !
This place is boring unless you want to watch football or listen to noisy karaoke. Needs to go back to how it used to be 2-3 years ago.
