Dockside Lobster & Seafood Restaurant

While staying in Lunenburg for four days, we ate most of our meals here. It is not fancy, but the staff were very accommodating. My wife has a severe peanut and nut allergy and they were great to deal with this. When we find a place that will do this, then we tend to eat most of our meals there. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. The feast of the fisherman's platter offered a nice variety and portions of fish. One of the better one's I have had at restaurants and very little of the fish was deep fried. The desserts are all homemade and tasty. Breakfasts are great too as we went back each day. We came here because of location with a small group but will not be back. This was the reaction of all of us in the group. Service was slow although they were not busy. Food was not good. We order the chicken club thinking we were getting real chicken versus the club sandwich which was chicken salad. The Chicken breast was rubbery and not editable, it was definitely not fresh. One person in our group ordered the ceasar salad and it was like the salad had been dressed for days. The lettuce was soggy and not good. We definitely should have looked at reviews before eating here. We definitely will not be back; there are much better places to eat in the area that serve fresh food.

We wanted something fairly light so both opted for their 'Special Bisque' which came with nice, fresh rolls. It was very tasty with good chunks of seafood along with the usual vegetables. Ann chose ice cream afterwards but I want to pay tribute to the superb bread and butter pudding that was almost awash with plump juicy sultanas. Definitely one for a pudding connoiseur but not for a calorie-counter. In spite of the place being very busy we found the service to be good and very cheerful. Prices very reasonable.

Lots of choices in the area. We chose this place because there were a couple of open tables outside with a harbor view. The grilled haddock dinner was great. Good flavor served with vegetables and choice of potato. My wife said her burger was the best she has had on the trip and service was great. The carrot cake was moist with lots of frosting!

Visited this restaurant for dinner on our last night in Lunenburg. The food was good, not fantastic. For what you paid I think food should have been a bit better. Patio outside looks nice to sit on but it was rainy when we ate there. Service was friendly as well.

The view was great overlooking the harbour front and tall ships. The waitress we had was 1/2 grumpy and her serving style matched.She passes us the plates and never put 1 of them on the table.We were a group of 4 , and ordered. 2 fish

Food was average and the service was terrible. Tried to find something good about this place. My wife enjoyed the Cider on tap. Beer was mediocre. Our server was no where to be found after the food was delivered.

I love fried clams and these were great! We were on the terrace with a great view! The service was great. Lunenburg is a very busy place but also very lovely with brilliant colored houses.

10 of us wandered in about 2pm. Good service. All reported great food. Decent value. Largest plate of great scallops I have evah gotten anywhere !!!

If you're going to eat here, wait for a seat on the patio. The view is excellent
