The Savvy Sailor - Reservar una mesa

We had our first meal in town at the Savvy Sailor which I selected based on Trip Advisor reviews. We both had the Haddock Chowder and local and beer and wine to start- all good. I had the Smoked Salmon Panini and it was good and my husband enjoyed his Pesto chicken club Panini. The view was fantastic and added to our enjoyment of the place. It was a great spot for lunch while we figured out our game plan for where to eat and what to do in Lunenberg.

Having been slightly glutened the day before, I was wary about breakfast the next day but WOW! The Savvy Sailor is fantastic! Owners and my fantastic server are super informed about celiac and food precautions. Had Eggs Benny on an O’Doughs GF bun, felt confident about the Hollandaise and the coffee was super! The cafe is bright and overlooks the bay. Highly recommend!

Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac, so I felt confident to have a lobster roll. My one quibble was that the slaw could have been a little more acidic, to cut through the richness of the lobster. The GF brownie dessert was a small slice of heaven.

We had breakfast here on our two days in Lunenberg, and we really enjoyed the experience. The food is quite good, with an imaginative menu, and the views are even better, overlooking the harbor.

Had breakfast there twice. It was easy to order gluten free — many options — and they have a gluten free toaster and O’Dough’s GF bread products. Good food and nice helpful people.

Knowledgeable servers. Ours followed up my request for a GF bun with “is there an allergy?”. The chowder is GF, and there’s a flourless brownie that is lovely.

Surprisingly good value, menu with amazing view. The only disappointment being that white wine was warm and a residue in one wine glass.

You'll like it! Everything was delicious! Best chowder! Delicious dessert and coffee. Great view of the harbour.

Gluten free toaster, and extremely knowledgeable servers. I felt very comfortable ordering and eating here
