Empanada Mania has the best empanadas anywhere, except from a Colombian mother. They offer a clear hot sauce and a cream based hot sauce for condiments. Both are great. There is free municipal parking just a block away up the hill on Palisade Avenue. You can usually find a spot at all hours of the day. You can also risk using one of the business parking lots on Bedford Avenue, also a block away. I have not had any problems. Empanada Mania takes my usual order of six, and gets me out in 15 minutes. If you want to linger and do some shopping or see a movie on Washington Avenue, then use the municipal parking lot.
We stopped in after a sporting event, absolutely delicious empanadas. My kids can be a little picky with food that isn’t cooked by Mom, they devoured these. Very nice owner, personable and happy to chat. I’m glad we settled on this spot as there are so may options in the area.
I would recommend sticking to the empanadas at this restaurant - they are really good. However, the Chicken Rice Bowl was disappointing. It consisted of three dry chunks of chicken cubes with some seasoning, but it lacked any additional flavor or appeal.
The Empanadas were the hit of our Party! Picked up about 5 dozen and it wasn't enough. They are all delicious. I can't see myself going anywhere else. Thank you Gallo.

Had the Angus-Rind and the Speck Cheeseburger empanadas, both were delicious. Thank you for coming to the Trumbull Day, hope to see you next year!
One of my favorite places to get empanadas. It has become one of my go-to-spots when food is ordered for get-togethers and events.
The empanadas were to die!!!! #greatnessexceeding I would order the whole menu if I could! Love her!
