Very disappointing second visit to Freyja. 8.30 booking midweek and shoved downstairs, so we missed out on the amazing space and the windows. Trainee waiter had no support. When she went off to ask questions she come back without information, or told us the wrong information such as G&Ts weren't available. More senior waiter was rushing us and got annoyed every time we asked a question. The menu doesn't explain the dishes and we expected (as we had last time) some colourful explanation. Sure it has 10 o'clock midweek but this made the night really unpleasant. We smiled amiably the whole way through, but it did not help. Everyone seemed preoccupied. Very little asking us if we wanted another...
I took my mother out for dinner at this restaurant before heading to see "The Phantom of the Opera," and we were not disappointed. The staff was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive—truly sensational! We started with oysters, zucchini flowers stuffed with shrimp, octopus, and oyster mushrooms. For our main courses, we shared the dory and duck, accompanied by a side of cooked vegetables. The ambiance was lovely, with beautiful lighting and perfectly curated music that allowed us to carry on a conversation easily. We left feeling very satisfied and would not hesitate to return!
Wow, unexpected surprise. Outside the usual fine dining, this very classy restaurant serves a modern take on Nordic cuisine in a lovely atmospheric setting. I had an incredible culinary experience at this restaurant. To be honest, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish was perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious. The ambiance was wonderful, creating a lovely atmosphere. The service was exemplary—friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!

The waiting staff were excellent, but I was quite disappointed that we were seated in the cellar instead of on the ground floor. The food was interesting, but I found it to be expensive for what we received. We had a lovely evening mainly thanks to the company, but I'm not sure if I would come back.
Service was slow, food was interesting, but inadequate, we had to buy more on way home. Thought food presentation was a bit ordinary too. Decor and ambiance good, though very noisy. Waiters appeared unsure of where to deliver the food. Perhaps early days?
Excellent service, beautifully prepared and presented food in an ambience that was just right. Would recommend for an occasion without hesitation.
It our first fusion between Scandinavia and Australia. We had the octopus. It was wonderful. Our wait staff was fantastic.
