We visited the Gasthaus Ahorn for the first time yesterday and are very pleased. The inn is very charming in Black Forest style and idyllic with magnificent views of meadows, fields, hills and valleys. We were warmly welcomed and kindly served. The food tasted great. Whether pumpkin soup, deer roast, young bull steak from the regional cow or Schnitzel Wiener Kunst. Also for our vegan accompaniment there was a small selection of dishes without problems. Thank you for the hospitality and the delicious food! We like to come back.
We had a very nice dinner here tonight. Very hospitable hosts and fast service. It was a very busy night with a lot of locals celebrating. The menu has typical German dishes like Schnitzel, Bratwurst and Käsespätzle (vegetarian). But also a cheese and ham plate with slices of bread is one of the options. We had 1 course, with drinks and coffee after for 20 euro per person. Well worth it. Ps. Wednesday and Thursday the restaurant is closed.
You'll have to want to go here, but it's worth the trip. Very friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere make a great meal even better. I went with the pork schnitzel which was the best I've had in Germany. A thick slice of pork in fine breading cooked up just right, served with the delicious yukon gold fries that seem popular in Schwarzwald. My wife went with a spaetzle dish that also dazzled, all for around 20 euros.
Randomly, this inn is found and I would recommend eating someone there who is on the way to Titisee-Neustadt in the region. Price/performance is great and the food was very delicious. We had very good dinner with the family tradition German plates were served with beer and soft drinks for the children .The deer dish was excellent Dessert : the home made ice creams were well done vanilla and the nut with egg liqueur Atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent I Recommend this restaurant Eytan Cohen Israel
We loved our dinners at the place. Our server helped us with the German menu. We chose the venison stew. It was so good! This is obviously a popular restaurant with the local people. Everyone was having a good time. The chef came out to ask us if we liked our meal. We told him it was THE BEST!
Local food of excellent quality. Besides the pork schnitzel there was some beautiful regional food on the menu, varying from beef roulade to pork cheeks. Each dish was a delight. Service was very friendly, not over the top. And the scenery ..... Absolutely beautiful.
All right. Have visited the old house for a long time and found a large regional cuisine in the maple. A wonderfully good steak from his own herd. We couldn't resist and returned to dinner for the second time on weekends.

Ignore my rating, restaurant is closed until July so don't waste a journey! It looked lovely from the outside set amongst stunning mountain scenery. Pity.
I had a very good pork schnitzel with french fries It was also cheap... so everything was good for me
