Goccialina is good and consistently so. It's my go to place for a nice meal in Durham when I want to treat myself or someone else. I've been coming somewhat regularly since they opened their doors. The food is always amazing and I've never had a bad experience or meal here. I suggest making reservations but they can sometimes squeeze you in at the bar.The prices reflect the quality of the dishes and their ingredients. This isn't a chain restaurant or a counter service spot. Expect fresh, local, seasonal seafood and produce. You can go wild with the small plates and be quite satisfied. That said, this isn't a cheap eats spot and the portions are satisfying but not gigantic. My faves from the r...

So.. The food we had was pretty tasty..But, I wouldn 't recommend this place...We paid $105 for two people and the portion sizes were TINY, I mean I 've seen kids meals have bigger servings, this was really disappointing, especially when pasta cost pennies. (you could also tell the pasta wasn 't fresh, came straight out of a packet) not what I 'd expect from a restaurant like this) We ordered sides which came out before the entrées. (not good) On the table you 'd expect to find breads, olives etc.. Nope.. Just two skinny breadsticks in a glass.Overall the food tasted good, but for the price we paid I 'd expect wayyyy more.. Save yourself a good chunk of change and go to Olive Garden.Plus thi...

Food not that good but expensive. Bad Service too. The seafood spaghetti is fine. But the special truffle spaghetti is bad, tasteless and expensive. Waited for more then 30min after ordering and the food were disappointing. The waiter have good smiles, but the service is not that good since everything takes forever. We asked the dessert menu… He introduced and then walked away without asking us what we want or give us the menu. Then after a long time he came back to ask what dessert we want. Already lost patience so we asked for checkAgain, it took forever to get the check…. After I put the credit card, no one came. I had to go to find a waiter and gave them the card by myself since no one ca...

The food here is great. With the price they charge the decor could use some work. The chalk board makes no sense as they give you print outs of the menu. This made sitting in front of the board uncomfortable as people constantly walk over to your table and stand there to look at the board behind you. This isn't a sandwich shop, spend the extra money and do menus.
