I'm not usually inclined to visit Caribbean food places because, more often than not, the customer service leaves much to be desired. Today was my second visit to this restaurant to pick up some spice bun. I chose a large one and headed to the counter to pay. An older woman was working the register, and while she rang up the spice bun, my son was on the phone chatting with his grandmother, which had me a bit distracted.
When I attempted to swipe my debit card, the machine read it and asked me to enter the card number. I must have pressed something incorrectly, so I mentioned to the cashier that I might have made a mistake. She simply told me to swipe my card again. I swiped my card two mor...
The food was piping hot and came in a generous portion of shrimp, rice and peas, and cabbage. I didn't eat it until I got home, and it was absolutely AMAZING! I even shared a bite with my boyfriend, and he was eager for more! The dish had just the right amount of spice—not too overwhelming at all. I'm writing this because I plan to return today after the gym; it was that good! I definitely plan to keep coming back. I've heard their stew chicken is even better, so that's next on my list. My first time experiencing Golden Krust and I am thoroughly pleased! I?m EXTREMELY picky when it comes to Jamaican restaurants? if it doesn?t taste like home cooked, then I don?t want it! EVERYTHING was delicious, from the curry chicken to the rice an peasto the plantain and cabbage! Can?t wait to try the different patties next time! 10/10
When it comes on to simplicity, wonderful customer service, the ambiance, cleanliness and great food, don?t hesitate to stop into Golden Krust Hyattsville. I?ve been purchasing and doing business with them for over a decade, and it?s always a greatplace to be at. Thanks for all you do! One love!!! Stay blessed.

The food was excellent! I had the snapper, and my son ordered the goat curry, both of which were fantastic. I'm giving it 4 stars because there isn't a place to sit and eat. Regarding some comments about the cashier, I can only say that it’s a matter of personal preference; she was delightful to us.
I came in right before closing and the last veggie pattie had been sold lol I opted in for the veggie meal b/c I was so hungry. The food was delicious and plentiful. Just how I like it! The cashier was very nice too btw
I always enjoy my meals at this restaurant! My top dishes are the curry goat, goat soup, and the incredibly tasty escoveitch fish. I'd also like to give a special shoutout to Latoya for her outstanding customer service!
Wow, this place is the best in town! Jamie and Latoya, who are originally from Jamaica, offer friendly and outstanding service. The food is simply incredible!

This is supposed to be their spicy chicken patty. Where?s the chicken? I tried to squeeze the filling out and eat the crust and I had the runs all night.
I absolutely love The Golden Krust! The food is always fresh, and the staff is consistently friendly. It’s the best Jamaican restaurant in the DMV area.
