If there were more stars to rate this place I would have given it far more than 5 !! We hesitated ... its £20 even for us oldies. We chuntered about the £3.50 car parking on top of the entrance cost ... then we were bowled over by it all ... worth every penny. An amazing place, medievally preserved, steeped in a life gone by, saved from modernisation, it talks of stories past. Not huge in comparison to some local properties, but oozing atmosphere. Great talks about every hour out in the courtyard. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked like a good menu. There are a lot of steps, and very uneven flagstone.. which adds to its character, but care is needed. Roo...

Today marks the final day of the Haddon Hall Artisan Market, and there's a wonderful Christmas spirit in the air, complemented by beautiful weather. It snowed heavily around midday, adding to the festive atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the house, which is over 900 years old. The market features a variety of artists and their Christmas-themed artworks, all of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Admission is £7.50 per person, while entry is free for children. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and it's definitely worth a visit!

Hadden Hall has a lovely, welcoming ambiance. I believe it's the only stately home that remained undamaged during the war. You could say it feels like a cherished family residence, free from any dark secrets. It's certainly worth a visit, although I find it quite pricey for what you receive. There aren’t any real gardens or grounds to explore—just a section of the house. The restaurant is pleasant, offering home-cooked dinners and is obviously popular, as it had many tables reserved on a Thursday.

We had a wonderful day in the heart of the Peak District at the beautiful Haddon Hall. Although small, it has a cozy atmosphere and offers excellent views along with an intriguing glimpse into this well-known hall. It seems like a fantastic place to visit during Christmas, and the café was nicely presented, serving some delicious cakes! Reserva una mesa ahora

This is a fantastic place to visit! The guides, who give brief talks on Mondays, are excellent storytellers and incredibly knowledgeable. I'm fortunate to be a member of Historic Houses, as the entry fee can be quite high. If you’re a resident of Derbyshire, you can enjoy a 30% discount.

The beautifully presented tapestries in the stunning hall, along with a lovely garden and a wonderful café, make for a fantastic visit. The staff is friendly and helpful; however, please be aware that there are many uneven and occasionally steep steps.

I visited the Christmas market in the hall, and it was beautiful. There was a wide variety of stalls both inside and outside, which certainly added to the overall atmosphere of the entire building and the site. I would highly recommend it!
