This Nepalese restaurant is the only one I know of on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The sauces here are distinct from Indian cuisine, with dishes being cooked longer. We compared it to our favorite Indian restaurants by ordering Roti with garlic and coriander, which was similar to Naan bread but with a unique twist - the coriander was mixed into the dough, giving it a slightly different color but still delicious. I enjoyed the Beef Curry for $17, with an additional side of plain rice for $3. Unlike nearby Indian restaurants, this place charges for condiments and rice separately. The beef in my curry was tender and well-cooked, indicative of the longer cooking times. However, the "tomato gravy"...

My partner ordered the Beef Curry and I opted for the Lamb Bhutuwa. We requested our dishes to be medium-hot, but I found the lamb to be rather mild. Though tasty, it was also tough. I jokingly thought about ordering a goat dish instead, but reconsidered as goats are such lovable animals. The highlight of my meal was the Roti - a Himalayan style garlic Naan with coriander. Despite the slow service, which was attributed to a health inspector visit, the staff were attentive and the prices were reasonable. Next time, we'll skip the meat dishes and try the vegetable options as they seem to be the preferred choice by many reviewers.

I have eaten in and had take away quite a few times and have never been disappointed with the food. It is very disappointing to find the place frequently empty though as this is not a reflection of the cuisine. If this restaurant were in a different location (ie with more passing trade), I'm sure it would be full every night. I love the chicken curry, momos and everything else I have tried has been excellent. I have certainly been to more chic Nepalese restaurants but this one has by far the best food and very good service.

Not sure what Himalayan or Nepalese food was specifically when we went there. Similar to Indian and very nice. Lentil pancake with egg was a nice starter and an interesting mustard curry sauce on the main. When ordering the mango and pistachio ice cream desert, which doesn't sound very Nepalese at all but sounded interesting, making it at the bar using some very plain supermarket ice cream with bit of frozen mango is not a good look.Overall pretty good and certainly good value. Service was very pleasant. Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant now seems to be called Yak and Yeti. The food was pretty good - the beef curry was particularly good. Even though the restaurant was empty apart from one table of six, the service was extremely slow. It is hard to see how it can remain in business much longer - they definitely need a visit from Gordon Ramsay. The eggplant was completely uncooked so we could not eat it, we told the waitress but there was no apology and we were charged for it anyway. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it.

First time at this restaurant. Service was slower than it should be, beer was not cold enough, servings were small, but the food was delicious. So many different flavours. We all agreed that the egg plant, potato and spinach stir fry vegetarian dish was our favourite main and the Bara (pancake) with egg entree also vegetarian were the groups favourites.Prices are very good so don't be afraid to order an extra dish or two. Will probably go back again now that we know what to expect.

We went to this restaurant for a quick meal. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty. The food was very average and the beef was not tender. The flavor was okay, but considering they were not busy, the service was slow. We decided to have dessert, which we shared. The mango ice cream was $7, which we thought was expensive. Overall, we would not return to this restaurant.

I have been to this place twice in the last 6 months and I just cannot go past the goat curry. It's full of flavour, the meat is super tender. Garlic roti is light and tasty. Beef curry is also very good. Service is friendly, the girl remembers me on the second visit. She must have seen many people, yet she remembered that I visited a few months before. Great service and food. Plenty of variety to choose from. We found the restaurant by accident and were pleasantly surprised. Owners were lovely.
