I recently dined at Hummus with my team for dinner. The restaurant had a very nice decor and atmosphere. Our group of five found a suitable table, but I wouldn't recommend it for larger groups. We ordered at the counter and received our food quickly. We started with a sampler platter as an appetizer, which included 3 falafels and various dips. There was an abundance of dips in comparison to the falafels, but they were tasty and great for pairing with our main dishes. We also enjoyed some delicious tea to warm up on the cold night. I ordered the chicken kebab plate, which came with two skewers of chicken, salad, tzatziki, pita, and plain rice. It was filling and tasty, especially when paired...

The quality of food and service at this restaurant has significantly declined in the past year. A recent order of lamb beef platter took 20 minutes longer than expected due to overcooking. The service can be cynical at times, and it's frustrating to be asked for a tip when the service is lacking. I have been a loyal customer since 2005 and have witnessed the ups and downs of this establishment. During Covid, they cut back on ingredients to an extreme degree, with items like the Kale Salad suffering the consequences. The portion sizes have also decreased over the years, and the service from Oleh was rude and arrogant. The lack of connection with customers is disappointing compared to the exce...

We are fans of Hummus place at Stanford, but San Mateo location is different. Quality of the food is the same, but vibes and ambience is more like canteen. My husband always go for lamb shish kebab it is good. I went for salmon it varies, not as predictable as kebab. The place and the team are very kids friendly. We are visiting with our 13months old baby, the team plays and interacts with the baby in a very friendly Turkish style way! Much appreciated!

I had a salmon wrap that I really liked at this restaurant. However, I found the price of the wrap and the sauce on the side to be a bit high. I ended up paying about $18.50, including tip. The service was decent, and there was self-service for water. The atmosphere was a bit loud, so I would have preferred it to be quieter. This was my second time eating here, and overall, I would recommend it for its delicious food. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food at this restaurant is excellent! I tried the Dolma 4 and they were absolutely delicious, melting in your mouth, and served with a side of yogurt sauce tziki. Even though I'm not a fan of yogurt, I enjoyed it. The hummus was also delicious and served with warm, soft pita bread. The iced tea was phenomenal - delicious, smooth, and not bitter at all. I will definitely return when I am in San Mateo again.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is amazing and incredibly fresh. My favorite dish was the falafels - they were crispy and not overcooked like I've had at other places. The baba ganush was also delicious. I will definitely be coming back! This is the top Mediterranean restaurant for me in the Bay Area. The service was fast and the staff were very polite.

Casual Middle East Mediterranean restaurant. You order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. Lots of freshly made dishes and they have a gyro rotisserie. The salad was huge and very good. The wrap was a little small but still good. Overall good place for a quick meal I would go back. FYI there is a 3% health charge

Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen is my favorite mediterranean restaurant on the peninsula. They do an excellent job with the kabobs, including cooking the chicken breast kabobs perfectly (many restaurants overcook). Love the Mezze Combo plate that has hummus, muhammara, baba ghanoush, eggplant salad, tzatziki, dolma, and falafels. Reserva una mesa ahora

This was the best baklava I have ever tried. I am craving it so much and wish I could have it again. Unfortunately, I live far away so I can only dream about it. The other food at the restaurant was good too, but the baklava was definitely the standout dish for me.
