I only discovered this restaurant today, and I must say, it's a much better value compared to most places in Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise. The food was enjoyable, and the waitress was very friendly once we started chatting. The only issue was that my French toast came with the wrong sides, but I didn’t realize it until I had already eaten half of it. The best place to stop before heading up the mountain. Had the breakfast special this morning, and the potatoes were taste y!!! Don't be influenced by the reviewer that said the portions were small they were perfect for the people in our group. And I just noticed something really cool as I was doing this review Google Maps lists the price of gas at the pump here. I don't believe I've noticed that previous to this.
One cannot drive the TCH with a child and pee at the planned stops, so we found ourselves here just looking for the washrooms. Ample parking, clean and well-equipped store, and bathrooms with plumbing which is more than I can say for most of our other unplanned stops in the mountains. The staff was friendly with us as we perused to select a snack, as well as familiar with other customers too; a great atmosphere.
The bathroom is always clean, and there are plenty of snacks available, along with a cozy restaurant if you need a meal. I've included photos of some fun items, like marshmallows and travel-sized products. The bank machine was also a helpful addition. This gas station is welcoming to tourists and the staff are super friendly and helpful. When I had a problem, all three employees went out of their way to help me. This is in contrast to the Shell down the road which is not welcoming and is run by some grumpy guy who is not helpful in the least!
