We came here for the degustation and I really enjoyed the first half of the meal. A few stand outs were the scallops so creamy), prawn with avo oil, fried chicken and the bacon broth the soup was so tasty and clear). The highlight of the meal was most definitely the bread with the peanut butter, this was extremely decadent and delicious.For the larger dishes we had an Avocado dish with caviar, this was such a delicate dish- the flavour combination was really lovely. We came here for a birthday celebration, and chose the full ides menu. I also chose the non alcoholic pairing, being the driver, and would highly recommend this option due to the variety of fascinating drinks I was given! The bread with peanut butter was a crowd favourite, and every dish was presented with such care and detail. Definitely a fancy dining option, but worth it for special occasions!
Managed to get a last minute reservation here thankfully it isn't completely booked out on a Sunday night. The food, service and wine were all super nice. We didn't get all of the courses, however, it was still super filling. Each course packed plenty of flavour and the dessert was fun to unpack. Definitely recommend giving this place a go!

We went to Ides pre-covid19 lockdown. Their sunday lunch menu surely delivered their usually high quality and even exceeded my expectation.
Came here before lockdown and it really show cased Australian food with a twist. Loved all the dishes, the ambiance and the attentive staff
Anniversary? Birthday? New job? Ides is the only place you need to go if you're after a fancy dinner to celebrate a special occasion.
Loved the set menu and wine pairing! Really great experience. Ambience of the place was great too, dark and mysterious.
