I’ve passed by this restaurant several times and finally had the chance to stop in for an early dinner. Upon entering, the hostess was very welcoming and seated me on the front patio. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of pomodoro and garlic, reminiscent of upscale Italian dining. The waiter was equally friendly and quickly recognized that I was out of town, likely from noticing my license plates. The fresh bread paired with smoky extra virgin olive oil was a lovely touch. Arrived at 3:20pm on Sunday the 8th. Waited for 5 minutes at the host station to be seated. At 3:25pm a couple appeared from around the corner to stand next to me. I assumed that they were waiting for pizzas to go, but no THEY WERE WAITING TO BE SEATED AS WELL. They moved around into the dining area hoping someone would acknowledge them. At approximately 3:28 a woman finally came to check on a pizza order to go and asked if we had been helped. The couple decided to stay but I elected to leave. I am tall so I was able to see over the counter. I saw some wirkers wearing gloves and others not. I witnessed two gentleman handling meat with their bare hands. Not a restaurant I want to eat at.
Fantastic food and a wonderful experience! The olive oil was genuine and the flavor was unmatched. The seafood and fish dishes were fresh and incredibly tasty! I highly recommend trying dessert and coffee afterward; it truly rounds out a delightful meal. The owner personally visited our table to ensure we had everything we needed, and he took excellent care of us. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, giving off a warm, family-like vibe. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time!
Had fritto misto and chefs handmade gnochi. The calamari was very thin and not meaty at all, but the shrimp was really good. The entire platter was seasoned great and the marinara sauce tasted rich. The handmade gnocchi tasted divine. The sliced sausages were sweet and hot, they had good flavor. The sun room smelled kinda funky and service was kinda slow. Calamari needs to be thicker

This is one of the top restaurants in the area, and it certainly has some strong competition. The food is always delicious, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and we enjoy visiting as often as we can. I highly recommend trying the il Pomod’oro to everyone.
Have been to this restaurant a handful of times now as we are only in the area once in a while. Every time the food is a cut above as is the service. We appreciate their quality and detail made in every dish. Thank you.
The restaurant is very clean, and the food is absolutely amazing!! I usually get the bufala pizza or gnocchi. I usually also buy the olive oil they have for sale at the tables because it’s that good!!
Good food but portions are SMALL. And I had to pay an extra 5$ for a pasta dish bc the pasta was homemade.. which I don't mind but the portion was small!
