Had a reasonably priced meal here. My brothers battered fish turned up within about 10 minutes and was great (according to him). But even though my Parma was ordered at the same time, it got caught up behind another order so was at least 30 minutes later before I got it. Then the edges were over done and the chicken a bit dry. It was very tasty though. Two stars because of the delay. We had to eat separately. Despite that though, the staff were friendly and apologetic. And we sat outside (on a cold night) under the heaters and had a good time. Great location.
The James Hotel is situated in a great views of the docklands but the hotel does require updating.Took my families who were visiting us from overseas out to dinner and I must say the food is fantastic, and we'll presented.Service is great and the views whilst eating inside or sitting outside is breathtaking and relaxing on a hot summer day.We really enjoyed our meal so much that I would recommend casual dinners and quite reasonable prices.
Well what can I say about this place. It was fantastic, the owner and manager both couldn't be more helpful. The food was delicious (chicken parmigiana was huge) the beer was cold and a good selection as well.All in all it was worth the visit, I'll be coming back to this place again!!

Meals were generous servings but mixed feedback from family. Pork Belly was nice, steak was tough, calamari over cooked. Best part of my meal was the chips and aioli. Drink... omg.. $28 for 2 pints. No thanks Positive notes were the staff. Friendly and courteous
Made a booking for six early in the day for dinner that night. State of origin game 3 was on and there was about either tables of people there when we arrived at 8.15pm. We placed our orders straight away, as it was steak night...More
Quick service by lovely wait staff, the meal was ok and the drinks were very expensive, 3 glasses of wine cost $ 36, a beer was $ 14, our own fault for not checking the prices before hand. Would not recommend really
Had a great day on the water last Wednesday and this hotel is a great place to stop over for a quick meals and a pint. James Squire beers are sensational too. Cheers!

Friendly and yummy food. Family friendly and easy to get to. About the only building open in Dockland at night. Good Pub and really good food and good value.
Hard to beat the location and view but $12 for a Super Dry and $9 for a pint of soft drink, way too expensive! That might be the reason it was empty!
