Kalvas Restaurant - Reserva de mesa

I went along with a good friend on her recommendation, the staff were warm friendly and welcoming down to the youngest of the servers we had. We both ordered the scallops and prawns in a sauce and chose the spaetzle and veggies to accompany the dish. A glass of wine before hand, together with a basket of assorted breads and butter. Dinner was served on well heated dishes and attractively dished, the food was delicious and extremely tasty. Because of the Restaurants higher price point I would go back there on special occasions, but it is well worth a visit. Thank you to David (for the dessert) and all the staff who served at our table.

We went to Kalvas on Monday evening without a reservation because we didn't think it would be so busy at the end of a long weekend. Guess what? We were wrong! Even so we soon got a table and enjoyed a drink while waiting to order. We shared a prawn cocktail then my husband had the seafood mixed grill and I ordered the scallop and prawn skillet. Yum! The portions we exactly right and we would go back for sure. Next time we'll make a reservation!

My wife and I stopped in after a day exploring without a reservation - no problem they said. We were seated within 2-3 minutes in a nice spot. The before dinner martini's were wonderful. The appetizer was delicious and hot. Our main course was fantastic!! We passed on dessert as we just couldn't do it but they had some nice choices (had to look). Yes, this was an expensive dinner for two but well worth it!!!

Thought I would take my wife to the best place in town ? ... I had been once before , it was fancy and high class , that was twenty years ago ! ( It must have changed hands !) It was dirty and run down ! Still expensive though ! Food was ok ? Not what you expect ... when you think of Kalvas . I won't go back . and wouldn't recommend it for fine dining . Vanwege verblijf op doorreis in de Travelodge Parksville bij het zeer nabijgelegen Kalvas gegeten. Het eten smaakte goed, maar was niet bijzonder. In verhouding met de prijs maar middelmatig.We hebben de afgelopen dagen beter en lekkerder gegeten voor minder geld.

Just a staffing issue. Weekday night, dunno it was busier day for them or not, Server was very slow but the helpers were great. If the server was good, I would have tipped them more. Other than that great food.

We went for a dinner for 5 - all adults - and had wine, appetizers, main course and dessert. All of these were excellent! The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back.

I had the sockeye salmon which was delicious and a lovely glass of Burrowing Owl Chardonnay. Service was prompt and polite. Family friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

I highly recommend getting reservations. The food was great. Don't be in a rush. The service was slow but professional and friendly.

Walked in and it was very rustic and homey. The food was really good to. Great for family's! Definetly Recommend:)!
