My friends invited me to try La Chiva with them for the weekend. It's easy to miss and the space is somewhat small, but there is street parking available, as well as parking in the back. The service was good, though there were only two staff members working (both cooking and serving), so I can imagine that the service might slow down when it gets busy. The menu is extensive. I ordered the classic bandeja paisa, while my friends chose a picada and a bandeja la chiva. I discovered this restaurant while driving down Beach and had been waiting for indoor dining to open. It's a small place with around seven tables, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. The portions were generous and the flavors were outstanding. You can tell how good the food is right from the start, especially with the rice and beans—they were spot on! The chicharrón was just incredible. I highly recommend visiting this place, especially if you're looking to explore more Latin American cuisine. As a Central American, I truly appreciated it!
The food was outstanding, with generous portions that were absolutely delicious. The hostess was very welcoming. Although the location was easy to locate, parking was somewhat challenging. We ended up parking in the back and had to walk through a dimly lit alley. Since we arrived late, the restaurant was empty, and our food was served promptly. The empanadas were amazing—both the chicken and pork options were definitely worth trying!
This restaurant truly lives up to the hype! Every dish we tried was served hot, tasted amazing, and was expertly prepared. The portions are quite generous. Super Colombian, super paisa, super delicious! The restrooms and parking areas are very clean, but unfortunately, they are not ADA compliant. I brought this to the management's attention today, and they assured me they would address it promptly.

Food was great, large portion and delicious. Very nice hostess. Place was not hard to find but parking was hard to get to. We parked in the back, had to get through a dark alley. We came late so the place was empty and we got our food fast. The empanadawas delicious and worth trying, both chicken and pork.
The food here is one of the best Colombian food , really homemade, the only thing that will drag this place is the attitude the waitress has , not even a smile , you walk in and she give you the stare of fk this .... But food great , price little high but well compensated for the good portions
Although lunch is somewhat pricey, I can't really go for the cheaper alternatives at Taco Bell, which is almost next door. The lengua a la criolla (tongue) was absolutely delicious and could have easily served two—I must have just been really hungry!
The food and its presentation are exceptional. Their handling of phone orders is impressive, as they are quick and precise in dispatching them. Be sure to try everything on the menu—you’ll be grateful to have them in our lovely Buena Park area!

The food was delicious and had a homemade quality that set it apart from typical fast food. The customer service was excellent as well. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
