Lapointe's Seafood Grill Kanata

We used to come to this branch 3 times a month. The tapas were great - then they stopped doing them. Now they do them again but a much reduced menu.All their fish meals - apart from fish and chips - are expensive - $24-$29 and the portions are too small. Ive always liked the fish and chips but now I see you don't get one big piece of fish but 2 small ones - meaning the ratio of batter is increased.They've changed the bread rolls. They're nice but not as good as the previous ones. Three girlfriends and I had lunch at Lapointe's Seafood Grill in the Byward Market today. It was the first time for all of us. We were more than satsfied with the service and the food. Our lunch was leisurely just as we wanted it. We had the fish tacos, crab cakes, salmon, mussels, and the clam chowder. All reported that their meal was delicious. The fish tacos had big pieces of fish that were not deep fried. We would definitely go back!

This restaurant is located in a small plaza with ample parking. While the decor may be a little tired the quality and quantity of the food was exceptional. The fish is fresh and well prepared with plenty of options for mains and sides. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu choices. The daily specials provided an interesting options in addition to the menu. Our cost was about $25 pp..

Food was very good quality and value for price. Service was very hands off, good for a business meeting not too great when you have to flag people down for stuff. But for being a busy night the noise level was delightfully low and we could really talk. Try the market grill - it's not self explanatory but for the value you're getting an exciting chef's creation. Great location in Byward Market.

Başka bir yere giderken yanlışlıkla girdiğimiz yolda oğlumun ben burada daha önce balık ve patates yemiştim, çok güzeldi yorumuyla hadi biz de deneyelim dedik. Çok lezzetli balık, patates, nefis coleslaw salata ve tartar sosuyla çok ama çok lezzetliydi.Kesinlikle yolunuz düşerse uğrayın derim. Ottawada başka şubeleri de var.

Small place. Outside patio. Fish and chips not bad. Salmon salad ok Enjoyed the evening with lovely service from all servers. Would revisit next time in Ottawa. Good prices

Fresh fish in a cozy classic fish market style casual restaurant. A family staple for years, I always head back at least once when I am back in O-town.

Lapointes at Kanata used to be our favourite restaurant we would eat here about once a week however a few years ago we stopped coming.
