We went here for the second time now, this weekend, and the feeling was so surprisingly fantastic again !! We made a reservation for the culinary weekend, a great experience, and it were really tree unforgettable days... The diner was so unique on thursday and friday, these cuisine straight from the hart, surprising flavours and combinations with a lot of respect for the basic product ... you can feel in every dish that it's made from someone with love for this kind of work ... The fantastic thing about the three day arrangement is that you see how they work, how they create, which fantastic team is working here together every day, you see how the flavours and herbs are cultivated by themsel...

We visited the restaurant around the end of July. A top experience! We were welcomed by manager Cyriel, who's the son of founder Piet. We took the starters and the apéritif on the terrace outside, which was really pleasant since we had good weather and the street wasn't too crowded. To our surprise, the seats on the 1st floor right next to the kitchen were free and we could watch the whole menu being prepared! We chose for the Likoké menu, which was perfect for us... It was a journey through different parts of the world, with some real explosions in taste. Some nice appetizers, followed by Belgian fries and mussels. After that we had Bobotie, which is from South Africa and Ajiaco from Colomb...

We had an unforgettable diner at Likoké.First of all there were 3 promising appetizers ('moules frites', 'olives' and 'moambe') with a good glass of Ruinart champaign.Next we had 'trout', 'razor shell tartar', 'Gillardeau oyster', 'fève' (local cheese and truffle) and 'turbot') as starters.The main dish was an excellent piece of veal with aspargus.We ended with 3 desserts ('bleu de pays', 'strawberries' and 'carrots').All the dishes were very tastefull surprising preparations and presentations.The (French) wines really matched the dishes.Staff was very professional and friendly. We were surprised that even a trainee (arrived 4 days ago) seemed to work in the team for a longer time.Conclusion...

Went to visit this place as part of an outstanding trip in the area. Our expectations where high and they were met. The presentation of the courses was one of the nicest ever seen and the taste of each one of them very good. We went for the lunch menu with fitted wines and on recommendation of the son added one of dish of the day. The latter was a bit of a mistake as the price was very high and not worth the value. We expected a high price tag, but this was over the top. Tip; stay with the menu :-) Also very friendly service only they were way to fast to take the main course away (were still finishing some bread). This does not fit a star restaurant. The food was really extraordinary: such tasty food, often with a columbian touch, the wines were so well chosen in line with the different type of ingredients. The service was just impeccable: friendly, at ease, super professional! The visit to the kitchen was so nice and gave us a bit of insight in the “heart” of the restaurant. We come back as soon as possible and we hope you get the next stars soon. You deserve them! You can be proud on what you have realised over the years with the whole team! We have eaten in many star restaurants, even with 3, but this was absolutely on of the top places. Creative, fun, tastes you can't believe, very good staff, relaxed owner/magician. The interior is modern and different for a Michelin star place. We loved the multi colored toilet paper.The whole place breathes service, service, service and dedication. For those of you who are lucky enough to pass by this October (2016), there will be friends of the chef cooking. I counted 13 michelin stars all together. Wish we had holidays again in October. We would rent a room and eat there every day. (well, wish we could :-))

Beloved by the Belgians who will travel to this remote region just to eat at Likoke. The food is superb as befits a Michelin starred restaurant. But the price makes it only an occasional place. Practically no locals go there. I only go because I am a New Yorker so I don't get "sticker shock." The service cannot be better, the owners and their son are totally friendly and charming.

With a group of 8 friends we specially booked a weekend of holidays in the Ardeche to enjoy a culinary evening at Likoke. We choose for the complete menu and made use of the private room in the back of the restaurant. It was a fantastic experience, high quality dishes, great flavours and wowtastic foodpairing!! What a heavenly surprise to have lunch here! A young relaxed team working seamlessly together in creating a series of absolutely wonderfully creative dishes and tidbits. This was pure excitement and a challenge to the palate and nose over and over again. Highly recommended and worth the trip for sure!
