Nous étions impatients de retourner dans ce restaurant après une dernière visite il y a 10 ans. L'accueil a été plutôt sympathique et les entrées ont été servies très rapidement, ce qui nous a mis en appétit. Cependant, notre enthousiasme a été tempéré par une attente de 45 minutes pour les plats principaux. Bien que les plats soient bons, ils manquaient malheureusement de saveur. Nous avons fait part de notre remarque au responsable. Sa réponse a été que l'affluence était la cause de ce délai, sans offrir de mot d'excuse. Un geste d'attention aurait été apprécié. C'est dommage que notre expérience n'ait pas été à la hauteur de nos souvenirs.
Great hotel, with very friendly and welcoming staff, who make you feel that they genuinely care about what you feel during your stay. The room are very cute and cozy, making you feel you are on holidays. The breakfast is great, with home-made jams (especially a yummy banana jam that we will try to reverse-engineer), and everything you would expect from France. The restaurant is also pretty good, though slightly overpriced and there are better options on the Island. Though if you don't want to eat outside a very good option. We will come again!
Very good hotel, with large and comfortable rooms and a quality restaurant, very close to the centre of the village and quite close to the beaches. Closed parking is available in the immediate vicinity. The service is discreet, effective and loving. In short a very good address on the Ile de Ré.
We had a really lovely holiday in L'Ocean Hotel La Bois Plage in Ile de Re. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food, service both really good. Great location and would recommend this lovely little hotel.

Fabulous meal for a family Birthday, impeccable service, great food and lovely ambiance and surroundings. We all had 3 courses each of which was beautifully presented, fresh and delicious.
Review of the restaurant. Well done to the chef and owners. Table as perfect as ever. The boldness and the mixture of flavors are there. I recommend with relish.
