I visited this restaurant for the first time on Thursday at 5pm to celebrate my wife's birthday. I have been to this location before under different ownership and we had a wonderful experience. The owner, Ryan, was very hospitable and took the time to go through the entire menu with us. They offer a selection of beers on tap that I had never tried before, so it was nice to do a quick tasting before deciding on the Stone Wood from Byron Bay. The food was delicious, including grass-fed wagyu cheeseburger sliders, southern chicken ribs with a hot sauce, house-made dill pickle, and beer-battered chips with sea salt aioli. I had some friends visiting from out of town and needed to show them a good night out. We chose Lydford Co and we definitely made the right choice. Wicked beer selection. Started off with a dos blokos ' the rent ' golden ale followed by a can of mornington IPA for food we had so much food I can 't remember all of it but I definitely remember the fried chicken and aioli that was awesome. Mini burgers killed it and the construct your own softshell crab buns were sensational. Haven 't had much of a chance to hit them up during the week for their specials but they seem like a goer. What an awesome venue for a private function. We hosted a 21st Birthday in their upstairs function room. The room size was ample for at least 80 people, it has it's own bar, courtyard and toilets so nobody needs to leave the function area. Heath and his staff were fantastic and very helpful both on the night and also leading Up to the event. The menu for the event was varied and delicious. Great value for money aa well. I highly recommend Lydford's Co to anyone looking for a function room.
The food at this restaurant is incredible and the cocktails are excellent. A few weeks ago, we stopped in for a drink and loved the smoking area, the friendly staff, and the overall atmosphere. We also ordered takeout from Big Kahuna Burger and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and a great deal for the price. Went there on Sunday for a quiet drink with friends to see what it was like. And yea it's not to bad. The service was friendly and very helpful and the backcourt yard was good with the sun out. We now have decided to book a table of 8 and see what the food is like next Saturday and see what it's like to watch the footy there. No doubt it's going to be good. I'll get back to u!
Went there for a friends b-day, initially was very impressed with the decor and vibe. That was ruined but the manager coming up to me and my friend, neither of us wanted to drink that night and were minding our own business, and very rudely insulted us and then threatened to kick us both out if we didn't immediately buy a drink. Was not impressed and left shortly after.
