Main Street Cafe - Reservar una mesa

Food was plain. Service bad. Owner was having a bad day clearly was rude. But worst thing for me was we all found the place very dirty. Never once did I see an employee wash their hands. The cook was scratching my head scalp then handling food. Never seen one area or a sink where hands were washed. Even the waitress stood behind counter by cash she put her finger in her ear and shook it then brought cutlery to tables it was totally gross. There's such a mess at their cash on counter and you have to step behind counter to use debt machine. Will never go back. Cooks should wear hair net my son found a hair in his food. We did not finish eating we left.

First time here after reading positive reviews. Will never go back. Asked for soft poached eggs: they arrived completely hard. Cold toast. Tasteless coffee. Passable home fries. Ignored by the wait staff. I went to pay at the counter (after tired of waiting at table for the bill) and described my meal. The bored waiter replies "didn't I go back to check on your meal?" "No you didn't", I replied. "Oh", was all he said. That was the extent of a response, no "sorry", no nothing, telling me that no one here gives a hoot about customer service or satisfaction.

A few days before New Year's our family decided to visit the Main Street Cafe in Stittsville. The generally positive Trip Advisor reviews delivered in every aspect. The Main Street Cafe is what is because of the great family friendly service provided by John, Jen, Ryan and delicious breakfast cooked by Jeff and his crew. I only indulge in this type of large breakfast a few times a year but this hit the spot. The baked beans are the best I've tasted in years and merited a second order. We will be back for more! Thanks John, Jen, Ryan and Jeff.

Wanted to go somewhere in Stittsville for breakfast with my daughter. Seemed to get ok reviews, actual experience was disappointing.Pretty standard breakfast fare, we both had pancakes. Service was terrible though. Took about 10 minutes before anyone brought us menus and initial drink order. Once we ordered food, we waited 35 minutes for food to arrive. Not once after our food arrived did wait staff follow up to see if food was ok or to refresh drinks, etc.Will probably not return.

Went here on a Sunday morning - the food was pretty good. Got a large breakfast platter, and it came with a bunch of meat, home fries, and eggs. The pancake was ok, nothing special. They messed up a bit of an order, and they made it right quickly and comped us some items as an apology for the inconvenience. I was impressed with that, and they have retained me as a patron! Friendly staff! I will return!

We went there for late lunch in Fri. and found it was closed early for no reason. The Holiday (Canada day) was on Sat. Not Fri. So why close early?I like the food at this place but I think they should keep the time they advertise. All I got from staff was sorry. Another nearby restaurant got our business and money.

Its been a while since we visited the Main street Café in Stittsville, and we took friends to the café for breakfast.We ordered what I positively call the "Heart Special" which is the Cafes standard breakfast. The quality was high, the meal hot, the coffee hot and the service as normal, very friendly.

I usually come here for breakfast - eggs bacon, toast sort of thing. Nothing special but the food is good, the service is quick and friendly.

Good food, reasonably priced, friendly and attentive service. Great for a casual lunch or dinner too.
