Overall, this pub is lacking warmth and charm and could use some updating. The fire and candles are never lit, and the furniture is old and worn. Additionally, the drinks were served by a grumpy older man with grey hair and a bad attitude. When I asked if I could light the fire, he agreed but then said he didn't have a lighter. As I went around asking for one, he rudely shouted at me for taking his place to ask. This behavior shocked everyone present. Despite planning to order more drinks, we decided to leave due to the poor customer service we received from him.
Visited on Sunday, went to order food at 5:35 and was told the kitchen closed at 5:30, when it closes at 6 pm according to the menus on the table. They closed the kitchen early after we had been sitting in the bar. Rather frustrating. This isn’t the first time we have visited and ended up going else where due to half the menu being “sold out”. Very disappointed the customer service here recently.
My friends and I went to this restaurant for a Sunday roast. The food was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The bar staff also provided lively and entertaining conversation. They were airing both the football and Formula One races, catering to a diverse audience.
We just popped in for 1 drink, football was on. 2 games and 4 roasts later... great Sunday. having sports here was a great choice. Food was banging will be a regular Pub decor= beams, fire place, ships,rustic Staff= young but very friendly and good banter Food= classic pub food

The seating area is a disgrace with litter and fag ends left around, plant pots broken with discarded soil. Vegetation growing out of the gutter. For an independent run pub they have let this go. It needs some TLC.
Do not bother worst roast dinner , £17.50 3 pieces fatty lamb, burnt soft roast potatoes, mushy cabbage grated, broccoli drained of all colour, and watery swede, told colleague the truth they didn’t really care .
Do not go here unless you want a cold, dull atmosphere with overpriced beer. The restaurant is dirty and uninviting, and the staff appear to be unhappy. The bathrooms seem like they are only cleaned once a week.
I’m a resident of the marina… and often pop in, the food was good. Staff are always so welcoming and friendly, it’s defo looking so much better in the last few weeks, happy chap! Thank you!

We had great fish chips. The fish was huge with lovely crispy batter good chips. My husband said they were the best fish chips he had ever had !!
Great afternoon here. Good drinks and a great hostess Katie. Will return soon to see the sport on TV.
