We had a wonderful waiter named Joe. Joe was very friendly, personable and attentive. The food was a huge disappointment. We have been there for dinner many times and enjoyed the food. Tonight this was not the case. There were three of us and we all ordered the Spinach Fettuccini with Grilled Chicken and Asparagus. The minute the plate was set down in front of me I knew it was precooked chicken that comes in a bag. I could tell by the grill marks. It looked like orange grill marks like when you get Perdue precooked chicken strips in a bag. It was completely tasteless. My mother thought the same thing. It was an immediate turn off. the st. george the theater is so grateful for max’s Es-ca that it is a restaurant sponsor in our gala from 7 May 2022. max and his staff are always wonderful to work with and have supported our mission for years! the food was presented beautifully and naturally delicious. no wonder that they are one of our favorite restaurants of si! consistent, perfect and have I mentioned that they make the best burger and cocktails? I visited Max's Es-ca about a month ago with a friend, and I couldn't have been happier with the food, service, and atmosphere. I had to change my original reservation due to inclement weather, and the manager (I forget her name) was very accommodating. The food was incredible: the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the burrata mozzarella was exceptional. I ended up staying in the restaurant for a few hours, at which point they gave me and my friend some drinks on the house. This was my first time at this restaurant, and I can already confidently say this is one of my favorite places in Staten Island. I definitely look forward to going back again soon. I highly recommend!!

I booked a dinner party for my daughters graduation from grad school. A table for 23 people .not only was the food amazing .but the attention from the staff was also amazing that you to our waitress Elizabeth .this place is upbeat it had a live jazz band .everyone that attended couldn't stop raving about this place .I want to thank Allison and her staff for a perfect dinner my daughter had a great time we will be regulars .definitely not your regular same as every other restaurant on staten island .I can't say enough good things .thank you Reserva una mesa ahora

I absolutely love this place and recommend it to everyone I know. The service is incredibly friendly, the drinks are fantastic, and the atmosphere is stylish and fun. The food is consistently amazing, deserving a perfect 5-star rating every time. During the pandemic, I survived on their cold seafood platter and watermelon mimosas. My wallet may have been empty, but my heart was full of joy. Their NYC stripes and mimosas are a must-try! I also enjoyed their espresso martinis, which were simply divine.

Was in the area and went to check it out. If you don't know the owner or workers they relegate you to the tent which can be an ice box if you don't speak up. They did turn heat on but still felt like eating in a garage. Food was passable but severely overpriced. Four people over 250 bucks with one drink. Will not go back but it wasn't terrible. There are better more reasonable places nearby. The prices just don't equal the quality or atmosphere.

I can't say enough great things about Max'sesca. I held my retirement party there yesterday, and although it was a relatively small gathering, we received top-notch service and the food was of five-star quality. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn't do enough for us; they frequently checked in to see if we needed anything. The event was flawless. A huge thank you to Max'sesca for helping make my day perfect!

I had my mother’s retirement here and it was perfect. We had it in the back tent and it was so pretty with the fairy lights. Everyone loved the food and they even took a special order of Spinach Fettuccini for my cousin because its her favorite dish there. We have been here for dinner several times. It is the best restaurant on Staten Island! We just held our first party here in the most beautiful outdoor (year round) tent! Beautifully decorated. Phenomenal food, great prices and excellent service! Five stars!

One of the most beautiful and absolutely delicious restaurants in New York is still in Staten Island. The stuffed pork chop with cherry sauce is out of this world—it's my favorite dish! Max is exceptional, and the staff is both excellent and professional.
