Mcwhorter Barbecue

Been a steady customer for years. Not sure what is going on with this place. Picked up ribs and chicken dinners last night. Meat on both was so dry it was like leather. The ribs also had a lot of fat and tasted gamey The roasted potatoes were saturated in grease. Food was inedible. Too many other good places in Newark to waste money like this. Won't be back.

Haven’t had this in years went here today for dinner and I must admit it’s not how it use to be. Ribs were terrible some were over done and some were under cooked. The fries and chicken were not like it used to be as well. I wish I went to Bloomfield BBQ that’s hands down 1 of the best in the Area.

The food is extremely good, and the portions are great for feeding the family. The best part is the service! The young man that works at the front usually is always kind, and welcoming. This is a Newark staple!!

Big portion and price very friendly. The foods also good. Cash only. There was atm machine in there if you need to take cash.

great family run place. got the half portion bbq chicken and beef combo plenty of food, good price. chicken was exceptional.
