This is a very good restaurant.The service was great, including one of my benchmarks, refilling glasses of water without having to be requested.There is plenty of parking nearby which is another big tick.The food choice is varied and has lots of genuine Italian dishes which aren't available at many restaurants.I had one of the specials which was pappardelle with duck ragout, it was sensational. One of the best pasta dishes I've had for years.The ambiance is peaceful and enjoyably noisy.A good restaurant that is highly recommended.
A popular Kew restaurant that we visited on a Saturday night in the middle of winter. The place was bustling and the very efficient and friendly staff ran the place like clockwork.We loved the menu with it's varied choices of fresh, local produce. We enjoyed the arancini and the wagyu bresaola with celeriac remoulade and thyme roasted pear. So simple and so tasty. The beautifully cooked swordfish and braised beef cheeks were very hearty meals so we were unable to try the highly recommended tiaramisu. It is important to book.
We had a private function for 21 in an upstairs room, and it was amazing. The service was flawless, with our water and wine glasses being topped up unobtrusively as was the arrival of our food and clearing of plates. Due to our numbers we had shared entrees, a choice of 4 mains, and shared desserts which were all brilliant with great quantities, catering for special dietary requirements as well. And best of all, it was all extremely reasonably priced! Highly recommend for your special occasion or any private function.
Mister Bianco is a very traditional Sicilian restaurant with the food certainly true to the region. The menu was true to the flavours of Sicily and a pleasure to eat. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very attentive to the table despite a very busy restaurant all evening. We enjoyed a variety of entrees including a very tasty arancini and a sword fish as a main. The truffle farfalle (on special) was a delight to the taste buds and the Tiramisu is the best to be found in Melbourne! Can highly recommend.

The reviews fir this place were good so couldn't wait to try it out... Unfortunately I wasn't impressed... We tried fried calamari, pork a d veal meatballs, Veal cotoletta and Sicilian gravalax..... Al food presentation was superb and thats it... The gravalax was stunning to look at and after taking one small bite I was greeted with the most awful salty experience ever!! It was sickening... I don't think the salt was wiped off... The wine was the best thing of the evening... The service was fine ..
My husband and I had dinner here on a Thursday night - the restaurant was very busy so booking is a must. Overall, all of the food was beautiful with a traditional tiramisu. Pros: Food was well priced. I had enjoyed the squid ink pasta with soft shell crab and eye filled steak as the main (see photos). Tiramisu was very rich in flavour, no so sweet with a beautiful creamy texture - highly recommended. Cons: None.
What I like about the food is that it is not the common Italian offering where one can get anywhere or even at home. Taste good ! Service is great , polite ,efficient and fast to respond. Our only comment is lights too dim upstairs where we were seated, can't see the food served clearly or else it will be a good complete dining experience.
Has the 4 course meal for 4 people. Was full by the third dish. But still managed to fit in some of the best Tiramisu since Florence.The oysters were very fresh, the beef cheeks soft and tasty. Even the coffee was strong and hot.Service was great, wine was delicious. All in all a great night out. Will definitely be back.
