I had eaten at The Sands a few times with friends and the food was fantastic. One Saturday last week after a great day together with my boyfriend, I spoke highly of the food and told him we should dine there.Our experience was sadly very very disappointing.Feathers still on the wings, and they were over fried, and no dipping sauce. The fish and chips was seriously appauling, fish was tough and tasteless and the shoestring fries were cold and super dry. The pork belly was cold and dry and crackling was soft and chewy and non edible.We mentioned these issue with the waitress who was collecting plates, she told the kitchen and came back with a lame sorry with no customer insentive to dine again...
About weeks ago after Sunday beach walking, we visited The Sands for early dinner. we was so lucky to find here because normally there aren't many cafes are open until late on Sundays in the beach area, but The Sands is open until and offers proper food menu and drinks, so it's great. The location is also easy to find. The atmosphere was spacious and relaxed.We ordered Narrabeen burger and Crispy pork belly which tastes are delicious. The chef seemed to know how to cook the meat and it was tender and juicy. I will definitely come back.
Very unhappyReception staff unfriendly and rude the rooms were disgusting with thick dust no evidence of sanitation in bathrooms as there was not even a toilet seat not to mention the build up of mould in the air conditioning unit had to pay an extra for a toilet seatNo cooking essentials only a kettle nor did they refill the tea or coffeeCleaners were friendly but pushed for timeYes the beach was close but we will be staying somewhere else in the near future
Our table ordered cheesy garlic bread, salt and pepper squid, Hawaiian pizza, beef nachos and salmon and chips. Nothing was amazing but got the job done. In my opinion the food used to be better many years ago.

Great, trusty pub. The staff were awesome, and the food was **** great! Oh, and the location is sweet right across from the beach.
Had a wonderful lunch at the Sands to day following a walk on the beach. The food and service were just awesome. I’ll be back !
I stayed on a Saturday night and paid $380 for a superior room.There is definitely nothing special about the hotel.
Typical pub grub nothing outstanding or amazing, stay away from the stir fry I could have made better at home.

Incredibly rude staff management, poor service without taking customers into consideration.
As the only watering hole along the Narrabeen strip, this pub could charge what it likes.
