Good food, but questionable customer service. I ordered an iced coffee, server asked if I wanted vanilla and I declined. We were charged the extra cost for vanilla anyways, and the cashier did not seem happy with amending it. Which was then amended to $4 more somehow... when we went back, they seemed even less happy about amending that. It's a trivial amount of money but it's the principle. The staff is friendly and attentive, always keeping an eye on your table to ensure your drinks are filled and you have everything you need. The food options are consistent, and the portions are generous and healthy. Parking can be a bit tricky at times since it's located in a supermarket plaza, so you might have to take a short walk after you park. Been on a hit and miss for good breakfast diners! Walked into Neal's Coffee Shop in San Mateo, and got a home run this morning! Cute, clean, and friendly restaurant in Chrystal Springs Center! Carol, waitress friendly and attentive made our breakfastpleasant! Big hardy and plentiful, cooked to perfection. Check it out, my wife and I will be going back again! The chicken here is fantastic—juicy and just lightly seasoned! The waffle is perfect, making this a great spot if you're in the mood for some delicious chicken and waffles. With this order, you get a drumstick, thigh, wing, and breast, so there’s plenty of chicken to enjoy. It’s not at all dry; the chicken is incredibly juicy and moist! I absolutely love it!

This restaurant has quickly become our favorite! My son absolutely enjoyed the chocolate chip pancakes. I ordered the corned beef hash with coleslaw and pancakes, and it was a generous amount of food—definitely two meals for me. Everything was delicious! The portions were large and the quality of the food was excellent.
I discovered this nice stop on the drive down 280 and enjoyed a solid, but basic, breakfast. There was lots of seating (a bit too much for the size of the space), the staff was friendly, and prices were a bit higher than the menus online. My breakfast was good and my tea was strong, I'll be back.
The Eggs Benedict didn't travel well; they fell apart and looked as if they had been shaken in the box. They definitely needed to be put back together, but the flavor was still good. The French Toast Sandwich was excellent, though I wish it had come with syrup and butter.
We love Neals Coffee Shop and have been eating there and ordering takeout for years. The clam chowder is my favorite. My husband loves the French Dip and Bens Special is my favorite breakfast.

Chicken fried steak was delicious. Country potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Hash browns were perfectly crisp. Only downfall were the pickles on my breakfast croissant.
First time here. We sat outside d/t having our pets. Food was good and it tasted fresh. I deducted 1 star for charging $1 for a side of dried up salsa.
