As you come over the north Narrabeen Headland from Tirematta and look South over the Narrabeen Beaches to Long Reef, the Lifesaver cafe stands out just south of the Narrabeen Lakes outlet to the ocean. Once here the reality is as good as the expectation....Where else, for the price of a coffee, could you sit on a balcony overlooking the ocean with fabulous views both north and south? This is my regular pit stop on this coastal walk.
A terrific place for a casual family brunch. All the usual dishes one would expect to find at a Surf Club based Café. The Egg and Bacon wrap is very good and filling and the coffee is excellent. The Terrace facing the beach is the...place to be, although it can get a bit breezy in summer with due to the Nor' Easterly's. Service can be a bit slow on a busy Sunday.
A good friend of mine chose this venue for her wedding and reception. It proved to be a good choice for an intimate family fun event where the kids could enjoy themselves as much as the adults. The food was spectacular, the service quick and...courteous and the multi-purpose venue itself allowed space for dining, dance floor, band and marriage service.
Where else can you sit in the world overlooking the magnificent views of the beach stretching from North Narrabeen to Long Reef for the price of a coffee. After passing by countless times, we finally decided to stop and enjoy the wonderful views from the spacious deck at the surf club. It was amazing to watch the surfers riding the waves at the world-renowned North Narrabeen Break! The food was decent, but the restaurant was quite busy.
Had two family’s and kids for breakfast. Great variety of food on offer and the servings extremely generous. Great coffee, freshly squeezed juices and amazing milkshakes the kids loved. Had a great breakfast and add to that a truly awesome view to eat by. Price...also very reasonable.
The food is good cafe type food and they make great coffee. The outside decking is clean and they have umbrellas for shade. The outside deck looks over the beach. You can seeup and down that coast. I love this cafe.

While watching early morning footy games at Rat Park, we like to walk over for a coffee and croissant. Typical basic café food but the views of the ocean are the best.
