the food is in the rule of decent quality and the service is excellent. the prices are however high, too high to justify the caliber of food the oysters for our escape were excellent, they were decent size and tasted very fresh. my $42 200g eye fillet was well flavored, and with generous amount of vegetables including roast potatoes, and broccolini, which eliminates the need for an salat on the side. the mushroom sauce was very smokey and overwhelming, so it is best avoided. the quality of the eye fillet was slightly subpar, with gristles that should not be found in an eye fillet, I still cannot justify going pure for the restaurant in the pan pacific. as a guest...read more
Had high tea here on the weekend and it was terrific. Free flowing sparkling wine, tea and coffee was just great. The food was quite good too, a good balance of savoury and sweet food items. Service was prompt, however the waiter may need a little more practice in describing each food item on the platter when it was placed on the table as he fumbled through it all. Was last here about 6yrs ago and can see the high tea has definitely improved since then. One negative point with dining here would be that the restrooms in the establishment could do with better cleaning from their cleaners as it was a turn off that it was smelly and dirty after having such a nice meal.
high tee in original restaurant was absolutely amazing. we felt like a license, which is exactly what they need for this special occasion! the employees have constantly filled our champaz and on their service within a look. their smiling faces and professional manierism did it definitiw for me. I am not usually one for flavored tee, but they were all beautiful and surprisingly perfect to soak between champagne! eating was also something to braid around, a bit of everything and every piece was burst with taste. I also have to mention the cheerful and cute stunning! will definitely book again soon only have to find a good excuse! ,p
The Engineer Eats was recently invited to a high tea at the Origins Restaurant in Pan Pacific. I was very excited as Pan Pacific has always been one of my favorite spot for high tea having been there a couple of times in past years. I was doubly excited as Pan Pacific had recently appointed Michelin Star Chef Paul Gaspa as Executive Chef to oversee the hotel’s two award-winning restaurants, Montereys and Origins, as well as the hotel’s 24 Hour In-Room Dining, Pacific Club Lounge and it’s meeting and event facilities. What gal doesn’t love a high tea complete with tiered trays of delicate little goodies, glasses of bubbly, and fine china cups of scented teas served by wait staff wearing pristine white gloves? There are so many establishments serving high teas these days that it becomes a bit of a dilemma choosing one that stands out from the pack. Origins in the Pan Pacific has earned a reputation for serving up fine fare with excellent service, so our group of eight booked in with high expectations. We weren’t disappointed.
The teas that were served were really lovely and the tea cups were so right. The service was impeccable. The menu sounded delightful and there was plenty of it. More than enough to satisfy. The problem for me was that the food did not live up to the promises. Everything tasted like it had been preprepared. It was almost stale. It had certainly been refrigerated . It was sad. High tea should be a delight in every mouthful. Not a trudge through. Opportunity for improvement.
love the pan pacific hotel, a place we always stay at a visit in perth because of beautiful staff, wonderful suits great breakfast. very positive experience here for afternoon tea with many beautiful sweet tasty. not to mention the free flowing sparkle. coffee was a tad bitter, which is my only complaining, very well presented but
Lovely high tea experience! Very attentive and friendly staff, special dietary requirements were no problem at all, sparkling wine was continually topped up. Beautiful crockery and delicious food although we all felt something fresh at the end would have been nice after all the decadent sweets.

a very late evaluation for this restaurant. came here for her glittering high tee with several lying. eating was always delicious. with the sparkling high tea we get the free flow foam that was beautiful. good choice for tee. definitiw one of my favorite place for high tee over the years.
