I always like to support local places in town and finally had an opportunity to try Pelicana yesterday. We had recently tried an amazing Korean fried chicken place in Closter and hoped this would be the same but closer. Sadly we were disappointed. It was my first time Ordering here and I guess for that reason I should NOT have ordered so much. I ordered a whole boneless chicken wings order. 1/2 soy and 1/2 regular. It was A LOT of chicken!!! $23 I should have asked how many people it served. My fault! I also ordered 10 piece spicy wings 5 crispy and 5 original. Nice crispy consistency but Not spicy AT ALL!! This review is based on how a business was able to turn a negative experience into a positive one. I order every now and then, and when I do it's always their delicious garlic chicken wings and fried rice. Today we received the wrong order, but not completely wrong, just the essential garlic sauce missing so a bit disappointed at first. This is how they got my five stars instead of one, they reached out via text acknowledging that they had made a mistake and also offered a credit before I was even able to place a complaint! delicious! talk about a hidden gem (which is not hidden bc obviously they are bikostal udon cream pasta was delicious. but it had garnished in it so that I could not eat it. but the spouse loved it. I wish there was a description of every meal. fries with truffle oil was a waste hardly truffly and not worth, the extra dollar calamari had a beautiful coating still crispy not. What a Tasty treat I got to enjoy while on My Lunch Break..The Soy Garlic Boneless Chicken was IT..Although They could be more generous with the Soy Garlic .My food was hot..the counter Staff was polite..Add Some Hawaiian Buns/Rolls to Your Menu Pelicana..It will then be 10 stars for Me.. all Korean fried chicken is not created equal - this place is great! and talking about transparence - which place do they see their kitchen in front of place? I wish I had lived closer! would repeat it in a heartbeat!

The food was delicious! This restaurant is a hidden gem, although not really hidden since they have locations on both coasts. The udon cream pasta was particularly tasty, with a nice touch of garlic in it.
