I used to live nearby and always considered this restaurant to be a step above the usual takeout spots with higher quality chicken and burgers, as well as a diverse selection of salads and cooked dishes. The quality remains consistent, with juicy chicken and delicious stuffing. The peri peri burger had tasty chicken and sauce, but the bun was thick and possibly stale. Unfortunately, the prices have increased to a more upscale level, and while the food is better than other local chicken places, it now feels quite pricey.
Dined here a few times now, ordered the same thing each time (the Phoenix chicken burger) truly unique and reasonable price. The chips are of fish and chip standard which is among the best quality, and beats any neighbouring take away shop. Definitely will be returning!
This is a great little local with good no frills offerings, with friendly fast and efficient service. This is a business that knows it knitting, sticking to the basics and doing them well. A vastly superior offering to Chargrill Charlie’s around the corner.
The best chicken around! It's so disappointing that they're not open on Sundays, leaving me hungry on that day. Who cares about Franco when you have such great value here? This place is simply the best!

Ordered dinner from here and was pleasantly surprised, I'll be ordering from here again. Was so quick and easy and the service was great, can tell this is a family run business.
I absolutely love the Phoenix burger, it is incredibly delicious. Do yourself a favor and order plenty of fries with gravy and chicken salt. There is no better place than this.

Good size burger and chips for a good price. Can't ask for much more than that. Garlic sauce was a bit disappointing though
Great hangover cure. The gravy is so good, perfect for drowning hunks of chicken in. Salads are decent too.
