Service was terrible which is really weird because they have Soo many people working there, my order was ready but they never called my number i was standing there for almost 10 minutes until I approached the counter to check my order... it was sitting there, the same bag I saw them place there 10 minutes earlier... Now for the food..we ordered chicken tenders combo, chicken tenders were pretty decent size but unfortunately we're bland no flavor, french fries on the other hand were cooked perfectly and tasted great. This restaurant is outstanding! Originating from Chicago, it offers traditional recipes at great prices. The hot Italian beef sandwiches, cake shakes, and cheese sauce for the onion rings are all delicious, and there's a spacious patio for enjoying nice weather. The portion sizes are generous, and every item I've tried is packed with flavor. Don’t miss the giardiniera on your sandwich—it adds the perfect crunch, heat, and taste. The bread is fresh and soft, while the beef is thinly sliced and cooked to perfection. Overall, this place is fantastic!
I visited this restaurant for the first time after passing by it many times, and I have to say, I’m impressed! The food was delicious, and the prices were fantastic. We spent just $40 for three people. We ordered the #3 double cheeseburger, a spicy and delicious chicken sandwich, and a rodeo burger for my son, and everything was great. We will definitely be returning for more. The interior is also fantastic, and the music—especially the 50s tunes—is just perfect!
The atmosphere is beautifully decorated, and the cashiers are quick and have a clever remark for every order they call out, which is pretty enjoyable. However, the food—I ordered a chili dog—was disappointing. It was overly greasy and had a rubbery texture that made it rather unappetizing. The kids had the typical burger and fries, which were nothing out of the ordinary. Would I go back? Probably not. But at least I gave it a try.

I had such a great time! Everything was really good, but my favorites were the beef hotdog, the Maxwell Street Polish sausage, and their famous chocolate cake! The staff here are so warm and definitely tend to all your needs. They do their absolute best to make your visit a positive experience and I appreciate that so much. I can’t wait to go back and bring friends!
Saw someone ruin a Chicago dog here but more about that later. If you want something incredible order the Big Italian Beef, quick dip but also ask for gravy on the side, cheese sauce and both hot and sweet giardiniera. Of course you will also need a cake shake. The ruined hot dog is in my pictures.
Portillo's in Buena Park is fantastic! It captures the essence of Chicago, making me feel right at home. My favorite dish is the Italian beef, and if I have any appetite left, I always make sure to grab a Chicago dog as well! I highly recommend everyone stop by and give this place a try!
I had a fantastic experience with the Italian beef sandwich, especially the version with sausage. The double beef cheeseburger and hot dogs were also excellent. The chocolate cake shake was amazing!

Tastes like home! I was thrilled to discover a Portillo's in Buena Park! As a Chicago native, I left feeling like I had returned home. The food is incredible!
This was my first time dining here, and I enjoyed the beef sandwich; it was quite tasty. The chocolate cake shake was absolutely delicious!
