Next came the Peking duck pancakes. They were generously filled with a substantial amount of duck (though a few more pancakes would have been nice), along with cucumber and sauce. They were delightful! By this point, we were quite full from the Verve, dim sum, and Peking duck pancakes, so we decided to take the fried rice to go. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal, and I will definitely return! The bar upstairs has an interesting design, adding to the atmosphere. Positives: Tasty food, good service, generous portion sizes, and a great location. Negatives: A bit pricey; the six-piece fried dim sum wasn't quite traditional but still tasty.

We had a really great experience at Queen Chow. We didn’t have a booking however there were plenty of tables in the bar both upstairs and downstairs (we sat upstairs). Love the transformation of this pub which used to be my local between 2000 and 2006, not the dodgy dive it was then that is for sure. We had the Hiramasa Kingfish sashimi, steamed dim sum platter, and half roast duck, all fantastic. The cocktails were phenom! I wish we didn’t drive so we could have hung around for Merivale’s 49% off all drinks in June deal. We will definitely return. Sooner rather than later.
The service was attentive, with our waiter always nearby to assist. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, with Szechuan peppercorns scattered on a plate that had no sauce. The Wagyu san Choi bow was flavorful and tender, a highlight of the meal. The duck pancakes were decent, but the duck skin was not crispy, and the fat was undercooked. The maître d' was quite intense and overly eager to suggest more drinks. It's a decent option for Enmore, but overall, it doesn't stand out as particularly impressive.
Happy Valentines! We had an early celebration at Queen Chow in Enmore. For entree we had the wagyu beef and black bean sang Choi bao which was really yummy! The oven baked bbq pork puffs were nice too albeit a bit too buttery for my taste.<br/ <br/ For mains we had the pippies with XO sauce and fried bread and a stir fried Shanghai noodles with shredded duck and kai lan. Finished with a long forgotten but used to be a favorite dessert, fried ice cream! The one here is huge! Reserva una mesa ahora
While a few dishes were a bit too salty for my taste, I found the food to be quite good overall. The use of various Asian ingredients and the creative application of different Asian dressings and sauces really impressed me. The service was excellent as well. However, it may not be the best choice for a romantic date unless you enjoy a lively atmosphere. On the other hand, it's perfect for a fun group outing where you can explore their cocktails menu together.
Interesting concept...pub meets Asian cuisine. Great vibes especially downstairs if you are after a few beers but for serious dining try upstairs. The food itself is not that awesome, except for the roast meats. Don't get me wrong. It's better than 90 percent of the places that purport to serve Chinese but I have come to expect better from Merivale. Still its worth a try if only to experience the quirkiness of it all.
Perfect place to dine if you have a show at the Enmore. Service was really quick and the dumplings were scrumptious. There’s a limited menu downstairs where we sat but just as delicious. . Queen Chow steamed dim sum platter $32. See this in the app
I love that there is a Merivale restaurant in the hood. It’s Chinese food meets the local pub and it works. I loved the quirkiness of the fitout as much as I loved the food. The Peking Duck is darn awesome. #queenchow #pekingduck Reserva una mesa ahora
This neighborhood gem is a must try. They have the best black angus beef dish. My favorite Chinese beef dish anywhere. The dumplings are good and the bbq pork buns are sweet and juicy! One of my regular Sunday evening spots.
Great ambience and a surprisingly diverse cocktail list (although some are rather experimental). For vegans and vegetarians, the salt and pepper tofu was fabulous.

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
