La Cena - Reserva de mesa

Oh little I knew before ordering the 'café glacé ' as a dessert. But first things first. La Cena is an Italian restaurant in Marly, a 14 minute bus ride away from Fribourg train station. The first impression after being seated: casual, welcoming, not crowded nor empty, very relaxed atmosphere. Perfect to spend a nice evening. Since it 's autumn, I opted for 'la chasse ', wild duck to be more precise and fagottini to start. Both dishes were delicious and highly recommended. All of this combined with a bottle of devilish Pinot Noir called Lucifer. But after all the good food there was still this temptation... for that little extra. Tiramisu... or café glacé... hmm tiramisu... maybe.. no, let '...

It doesn 't look like it from the outside, but once you get inside you can feel the atmosphere and the smells of Italy. A smiling welcome from Crina and pleasant service with personalized advice. The really delicious holy pizzas (no photo because eaten too quickly!! . The pasta is al dente and the meat to the point. The desserts are homemade and you can feel the quality in the ingredients. The panna cotta is homemade and delicious. The presentation of the dishes is neat. Pleasant atmosphere and restaurant to visit. Recommended of course! Excellent bruschetta eaten, followed by the penne aurora (penne with scampis). Well prepared and very tasty. Plus a red wine. Cozy ambiente and also busy. Recommended. Ideal for dining here if you are staying in the adjacent Hotel Grand Pre. (Original) Voortreffelijke bruschetta gegeten, gevolgd door de penne aurora (penne met scampis). The service was good but the meal was disgraceful. Barely enough to feed a 4 year old child. The boss should change jobs where the boss should hand over the reins. Thanks to the waitresses, all the same, who are professional and friendly. Unfortunately that's not enough

Really not good! Once installed, we were told that the cook was ill…but we could eat pizza. Mine, burnt taste, raw mushrooms, salted ham and tomato sauce swimming in water…and there you have it: 23 CHF! Not even a sorry…!!!
