When my son came to visit, he searched for vegan restaurants for lunch. This place was incredibly cozy, clean, and the staff were very friendly! They have a variety of vegan dishes and gluten-free options. We opted for the vegan BLT with French fries. The gluten-free bun was amazing and the sandwich was delicious. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic. I really enjoy supporting these small businesses!
Today, I took a friend out for lunch at this restaurant to celebrate her birthday. She is a serious food enthusiast who enjoys cooking and reading cookbooks, so I knew she had high standards. However, we were both impressed with the delicious meals, friendly and accommodating staff, and wonderful desserts. The standout for me was the pineapple-watermelon lemonade - it was absolutely amazing!
I would give this restaurant a perfect 5 out of 5 stars if I could, but they only allow ratings for vegan restaurants. The vegan BLT and Vegan Lemon Lavender Cake were delicious, as were the house-made pastries and tea. The menu includes options for breakfast, lunch, pastries, and drinks that cater to both vegan and gluten-free diets.

My experience at River and Rail was excellent. I tried two delicious sandwiches, both labeled as vegan. They offer a variety of breakfast and lunch options that are fresh and flavorful. The tempeh bacon was especially delicious. I highly recommend this place. Additionally, they provide vegan milk for coffee.
Very expensive for a breakfast sandwich $9.50 and $5.00 “large cappuccino “ which had 5 sips. Costco croissants… no refills, no warmth. Pretty place but breakfast for 2 $40+ dollars. Too Brooklyn for New Milford … sorry wanted to like it but couldn’t afford to return
Great little cafe on Bank St. Friendly staff, great options, and quality food and coffee! Absolutely love the Vermonter sandwich and the Iced Mocha's!Well worth a stop in for a bite, coffee, tea, or tasty bakery item!

The food and coffee at this restaurant are absolutely delicious. They serve breakfast and lunch in a great relaxing atmosphere. The kids particularly enjoyed using the wooden forks.
