Salt Spring Island Mercantile

I absolutely love that the mercantile is in Fulford. Now that the Fulford Inn is gone, the place would be quite bereft without it. Now they even have wine and beer so that saves one a trip to Ganges, which saves gas and that is very green! The folks there are mostly very nice and friendly. There is one fairly dour fellow who works there who does not smile a lot. It's always nice to have service with a smile but hey, it's Fulford, it's a bit different from most places, you'll see what i mean when you go there. Great pizza on Friday late afternoon, we like to get one and go sit on the pier or in the park across the water and make a picnic of it.

I had to wait for ferry so after hearing a customer being shouted out of a nearby cafe, I came into this place for a coffee and snack. I was welcomed with a smile and directed to their hot food counter. I bought a pizza slice and dark coffee and a fresh baked cookie, (it was big, too). I really enjoyed seeing their having a real, mini bakery and after enjoying my "ferry treats" I know I will definitely come back on future trips to Victoria.

The mercantile is the south ends grocery/corner store but stocks an amazing selection of organic, gluten free groceries and treats. Stop on the way to or off the ferry for snacks and awesome baked good from their onsite kitchen-pizza nights on Friday-great thin crust pizza

This establishment has a nice variety / selection of meals or other dry goods. If you are waiting for the ferry, this is the place to go for a meal or enjoy something light on the patio. This is the go to place for the locals. Reserva una mesa ahora

Friendly staff and everything you need! If you're camping at Ruckle Park, stop here and grab local eggs, fresh baked bread and a bottle of wine! Great food selection!

Didn't have a meal here, but visited while waiting for the ferry. Super cute with a wide selection of everyday grocery items and locally/regionally made gifts.

Awesome coffee! Cute little shop. Was nice to have somewhere to sit and wait for the ferry. Baked goods looked enticing as well.

It looks like this building was broken down into little shops, interesting but very touristy, not too original.
