I booked dinner here to celebrate my fiance's birthday. We were not disappointed.The restaurant is gorgeous. The service is fabulous. The food is outstanding. The cocktails are delicious.We had such a good meal, everything was light and delicious. The food is carefully prepared and the flavours mix so well. Our meal was everything we expected and more. Highly recommend giving this place a go. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often.
We were heading back from the Melbourne Grand Prix and stumbled across Shakahari Too. Famished and parched, we wandered in, with much hesitation from carniverous teenage son. However, the food did not disappoint - in fact it was suberb! Plentiful, fast, very tasty and clever, it was a wonderful dinner. Chilled organic wine and beer excellent accompaniments. The naysayers were convinced. Thank you!
The sister restaurant to the original Shakahari in Carlton, Shakahari Too is the perfect place to spend an evening with your loved ones over a cruelty-free and delicious meal. The entire menu is vegetarian/vegan and has some really interesting flavour combinations to try. We ate the satay skewers and the curry - both very tasty - I recommend :)
This place is cool and the people that run it are cool - if we lived in the area my guess is that we'd go there often, even though we're omnivores.We had a super 'lasagne' and a wonderful curry, washed down with a good sized glass of shiraz each.This is not a place where 'non-vegos' should fear to tread - it is seriously good! You don't have to be a vegan to go here but if you like veggies and want to try something different this is the place. The menu isn't big but there is good variety. The wine list is a bit limited. All the dishes we had were tasty and well presented and the servings are a good size.
We celebrated two birthdays here the other night. The woman serving us could not have been more helpful. The restaurant is plain but comfortable and the staff super friendly. Great food. We all loved our choices, even the person who doesn't like vegetarian food.
The food was very bland, Definitely the worst vegetarian food I had ever eaten, food was way too unreasonably over priced for a vegetarian dishes that has nothing special or wow factor to it. The food was not worth it of any cent. Thanks for nothing.
Shakahari is the Indian word for vegetarian and I assumed that this establishment was an Indian restaurant that served vegetarian and hence I would have Reserva una mesa ahora
