I used to believe that Smitty's was mainly a breakfast destination, but after enjoying lunch there twice, I can confidently say it offers an excellent lunch experience as well. The service was exceptional, thanks to a friendly and attentive server. The menus were spotless, which is always a nice detail. It's one of the few places that truly knows how to cook chicken to perfection, which made for an outstanding chicken Caesar salad. My friend ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side Caesar, and our meals arrived quickly, fresh, and hot—except for the salad, which was perfectly chilled. When I requested to speak with the manager, her attitude was dismissive, and she talked over me while I tried to explain our disappointment. She repeated the offer of a 20% discount, but I insisted that we shouldn't have to pay at all. She argued that we should pay because we had eaten some of the food, but none of us finished our meals as they were unappetizing—the hash browns were dripping with grease, the omelets were tiny, and overall the experience was far from worth the money. In my opinion, Smitty's has noticeably declined in both service and food quality. We’ve visited three times recently, and each time our Eggs Benedict were overcooked instead of the soft texture we requested. During our first visit, we mentioned it to the staff, and they did eventually remake our order, but by then, the rest of our food had already cooled down. I’ve learned my lesson: sometimes it’s best to keep quiet. On our last visit, I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, which was terrible—almost inedible. We stopped by for breakfast and saw a sign at the entrance that read, "We're short-staffed, please be patient." Despite this, we were seated quickly, and soon after, a young woman came by to take our drink orders. Then a friendly young man approached us to take our food order; he was very efficient and personable, keeping the conversation lively with questions. The food was amazing too! I highly recommend trying the cinnamon swirl pancakes—I enjoyed mine without any toppings! Overall, I would definitely recommend Smitty's!

My mom and I visited the restaurant for lunch today. We arrived around 1 PM and were seated immediately. We were told that our waitress would be with us shortly, but we ended up waiting half an hour without any service—no coffee offered and no one even acknowledging our presence. Despite our attempts to get someone's attention, we were overlooked. Feeling quite disappointed, we chose to leave and find another place to eat.

This restaurant appeared to be slightly understaffed, which seems to be a common issue these days, so I don't want to fault them for it. The staff put in a lot of effort to deliver good service. Our waitress, whose name I sadly can’t recall, was truly charming. I had the poutine, and it was delicious. The margarita was excellent as well. The mac and cheese was tasty, though I wish the portion had been a bit bigger.

I had an amazing experience savoring the So-Cal Eggs Benny, which came with poutine hash browns, scrambled eggs, and a bacon Denver omelette, all shared with my family. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious!

This is a great spot for breakfast. While the menu features some more elaborate options, we went with a classic egg breakfast. We have no complaints—the cubed potatoes were wonderfully seasoned!
