By far the best fish and chips we found in Canberra. Great location. Wonderful view. Fast order. Fresh fish. Good crunch and it's not the type of crunch that easily goes soggy. It's the hard you can hear it when you bite the fish piece kind of crunch. And that well seasoned crunch urges you to take another bite. Same to chips. Top up with a cold beer. That makes a perfect summer brunch.

came here for a Christmas dinner and had a good experience with the special Christmas menu. the menu looked great and festive overall, but the execution needs more work a salt and pfeffer tintenfisch was quite salty. if only the salad can be a bit more generous, by cutting the saltiness of the truthahn was dry, although the cranberry sauce had a good taste.

Finally, finally finally! Great fish and chips in Canberra and to make it better, it's right next to the lake! It's almost like eating at the beach, but not really, because it is Canberra and it lacks anything close to a beach. Snapper serves crispy and fresh seafood from its humble abode beneath...

Was there on Sunday to check it out. Great for a Sunday session with plenty of families and a great outdoor area with chairs and grass with views of the lake. Food was ok, not really something to write home about, but the atmosphere and surrounds makes up for it.

Overcooked crumb fish, same for chips, servings generous though. No indication of fish chip menu has limited hours and we waited 30 minutes before they would take our order. Avoid snapper.
