I really really like this place. It's a family owned restaurant who is working hard to get out from under the thumb of Covid and make a better life! This place is located in a pretty convenient strip and offers good food. The only thing that would make it even better is their service was better not that it was horrible but it just wasn't exactly great either. Its just that I hate being rushed when I am ordering and debating what I want and the server was just standing there waiting for me to hand her the paper order for sushi entrees. Please dont do that give your customers time to figure out what they want and don't pressure them. They have a variety of dishes to choose from, including bento boxes, sushi, and noodle soups. I usually get the Niku Udon cause the broth just tastes marvelous and the crunchy topping adds that extra yum to it...
I came in on a Sunday afternoon because it was the only sushi place open in the area. I went with the salmon lovers box and my friend went with the tuna lovers box, which came with tuna/salmon salad, tuna/salmon hand roll, tuna salmon roll, nigiri, and sashimi. We also ordered crab rangoon as an appetizer. Our boxes came with miso soup. It was good and not too salty! The crab rangoon were okay. Fish was fishy I didn't even eat that. The rest of the food was bland. The whole restaurant had weird vibes. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 7pm, I knew we shouldn't have gone when I saw how empty it was but we were starving drove 30 mins to get there, and we had a coupon from restaurant.com I thought we'd at least give it a shot/: but no it wasn't good, they didn't even have rice so my boyfriend got a random noodle dish last second, which he didn't like.

Tonkatsu $9.95 w/soup, salad, and 4pc cali roll) 2 stars. Small and thin. I've tried a lot of katsus in my lifetime, and this is the worst. Spring rolls 3 stars Service was kinda weird in that when I went to pickup, the employee pointed to the bag of food on the table behind him. I thought he would hand me them since he was closer, but he just pointed again. So I had to walk past and behind him to get my carryout order.
Used to come here years and years ago when I used to work in this area. Always loved it. My daughter and I were in the neighborhood and decided to stop in... So glad that we did! It's still some of the best miso soup around. The tonkatsu is crunchy and juicy. The lunch boxes are generous and have a nice selection of options. Hot green tea is tasty too!
Great lunch specials, the rolls aren't too rice heavy, and their krab rangoons are the best I've ever had! This place is very decent for the dollars and I don't mind coming thru when I'm in the area. Granted, it's not the best tasting and freshest sushi I know of in the NW burbs, but it's decent for Bloomingdale.
I miss you!! I came here hundreds of times over 20 years. I used to come in multiple times a week, but not as frequently in recent years. I will miss Hanks roll, Dragon roll, Kamikaze and hand grenades the most! I've not found anywhere that did it like you. Best of luck. Love you xo

Coroner service is definitely not there strong suit, when asked what they recommend server said I cannot pick for you Saks walked away... food was great and tasted super fresh, I would definitely redoing ...
I had lunch over there. Their food was so nasty and the Bento container smelled like dryer sheets. Will never eat there again.
