I really had my heart set on surprising my daughter Sidney and her future wife Missy with a dessert table at their wedding welcome dinner, but I wasn't having much luck on finding a vendor in Conneticut. I really didn't even know where to start; as I live in California and was doing everything over the phone. Researching looks, desserts and vendors became somewhat of a job or I'd say passion. I have been waiting to go to Sydney sweets as she won the great food Network bake off. She held up under pressure and won the whole competition and absolutely the right outcome. If you visit her bake shop which is small and quaint you can sit at a few little tables in order from several tasty items. It has limited hours because she does mostly custom work now but I will tell you this is one of the best carrot cakes I ever had and I've been to Lloyd's in Manhattan. The coconut cake has bits of pineapple in it and an outstanding moist cake. The cake pops and cupcakes are also very good. Sydney's Sweets offers a wide variety of desserts and custom eats. I loved my holiday box from here so much which came with six cake jars. Each one was super delicious! I could tell they were made with care. Quick service! I love the decor in here! It's very pretty.

Since my husband is a BIG Dallas Cowboy fan. I decided to order a Dallas Cowboy cake for his 50th birthday. I received so many compliments on how beautiful/good the cake look. And it tasted delicious. My husband LOVED it!!!!
