"What a joke. How not to run a business. 1. rude staff who would rather be anywhere but at work 2. The wines are all ‘Natural’ and undrinkable. Whoever is buying the wines for this place has no clue about quality and is more concerned with looking cool."

From previous experience all 6 of us thought we’d return to The Dolphin for a nice meal in the dining room. The dining room is just a big expanse, there is no table service have to order everything at the bar the meals were all average. Two people had minute steaks which were mostly left uneaten, the special steak over cooked. This was not a dining room experience and should not be advertised as such But….. the most annoying was the VERY LOUD music. Why why why does there need to be such loud dance music between 6 and 8 pm when all people want is a nice meal out with friends and family?? Background music sure but……Won't be back.

Don't usually write reviews, we ordered a pizza sent it back as it was too chilli and asked for the chilli to be removed, clearly didn't understand what I said and came back with the same pizza with the pizza base covered with chilli. An arrogant english manager started arguing with us, then went on to tell us to not tell him how to cook a pizza and remove the chillies?!!? Overall dirty tables and not a well run place despite english manager bragging about his years of experience in the hospitality industry. Save yourself the hassle and go to the cricketers arm down the road.

Booked here with family and all in all we enjoyed the dining experience at this venue. The staff were attentive and engaging. There was a good atmosphere inside, and it seemed the same out front. The food was ok, no wow factor but it doesn’t claim to be something it’s not. If you want a good night out, with a good vibe and pub grub, this is where to go. I’d recommend it. I would however want iced or at the very least chilled table water, there’s nothing tasty or appealing about warm water. This isn’t the only venue I visited in Sydney that served water in this manner.

Bunnings sizzle better than RSL sandwich. Just taste like charcoal in a piece of white bread…for $14. Wine list looks impressive and wine by the glass range looks good, however the Trebbiano and Gippsland Pinot Noir were atrocious. Can’t comment on the others. Came once before and ordered a pasta from the standard Italian menu, I remember that being naff too. Big fat avoid
