The Hop Pole - Reserva de mesa

Great pub and great range of beers. Visited with my family last Friday so all restrictions are still in place. Track and trace etc all being used and staff great at taking orders and delivering your drinks. I have marked it down due to the older barmaid going around and being fairly aggressive asking people to drink up wearing her mask under her chin not over her mouth and nose put glasses down on our table from other tables. What’s the point if the majority of the staff follow the rules only to possibly put all the good work in jeopardy due to one member of staff. This is a shame as the drinks, atmosphere and service up to this point was great.

My wife and I attended this festival yesterday and wanted to say what a fantastic time we had. The music was great, the beer was good, and a special thanks needs to go to ALL the staff on the food and beer stand were exceptional. They worked their asses off to keep everybody happy, and were cheerful throughout, despite some idiots moaning about the time of the service. They must have apologised to me alone about five times but ladies and gents, you were brilliant. One of the best days we`ve had for ages. THANK YOU ALL.

Just called in for a quick couple of pints at lunchtime. It has always been a favourite place but with reservations. However, the new owners (landlord or manager, I don't know) has made some big improvements. Now has a clean and fresh feel without loosing the character of this excellent local. Beer well kept with more guest ales. Swift service. Small point: the tables need re-surfacing; they have that nasty sticky surface.

I stopped by for a quick drink and was served by the most unfriendly person I've ever come across. It's a mystery why she works in a bar when she clearly dislikes it, but the beer was outstanding. I have no complaints about that. Reserva una mesa ahora

much better since new renter and renter. excellent beer with ever changing guests. there is no justity if there is not the camra pub of the annual price for the opposite.

historical pub with a lot of character and a good bierkeller. happy personal, clean facilities. a little more friendly than a few hundred years ago, so be ready. ;

Ok but tend to serve regulars first despite how long you’re stood at the bar. Otherwise, decent priced beer and good atmosphere.

Brilliant pub, we had a very warm welcome with our pup. This is not the same pub on Google.
