We spent a day in the remote town of Portree, Skye and decided to have dinner at Isles Inn around 6:30pm. It was the only place that didn't require a reservation. The inn has a restaurant and a bar, and we had found the bar to be friendly with polite staff and a good drink selection earlier in the day. Despite being full at 6:30pm, the staff managed to find us a table in a corner. We ordered fish and chips, as well as a skewered beefburger with tomato, pickle, and chips. Seems like they used to have more options. We ended up going twice when in Portree bc other stuff was not really open for various reasons. The daily soup was always vegan and they also had vegan fish and chips (really just giant grilled cheeses) and a burger. And maybe one dessert. The quality of the food was fine, but nothing super special. It was comforting pub food after a long day of hiking and/or being rained on, though. Place is suuuuper busy, especially in summer (duh) so don't go during peak hours or be prepared to wait a very long time to be seated.
I recently stopped by to cozy up by the fire and enjoy a beer, and it was just what I was looking for. They had a good variety of drinks and a nice, warm fire going. The service was excellent, with a rating of 5, and the location was peaceful and quiet, earning a 4. Overall, it was a great spot to relax and unwind.
The atmosphere here is lovely, and the vegan burger is delicious and reasonably priced. Other vegan options in Portree require reservations and are more costly. Be sure to try the vegan torte for dessert - it's amazing! If you're looking for vegan food in Portree, this place is a fantastic choice.

The vegan burger at this restaurant is delicious and pairs well with a few ciders. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making it a must-visit spot when in town. They also had a vegan soup available, but I was already full from other soups.
I struggled to find a vegan dinner option in Portree and thought this place was great. Cosy wee pub and they had a plant based burger option in a tasty pretzel bun.

The rooms were lovely, the service was exceptional, and the hotel's location was convenient. A highlight of the hotel was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere.
